Nevermind. Just apply for it and then cancel the card a few months later

Anyway, i think the annual fee for all newly approved credit card is now waived for 2 years.
true, maybe will take your advise. No no no, must take your advise, free money.

Other than what you had mentioned, there is also the settlement rates which are way higher compared to Visa/Master, thus resulting in a much higher overall charges, 2.5% admin charges aside. But despite all the above, the RM50 cap on monthly rebates does not really makes it worthwhile to be used overseas as this translates into an extreme low spending cap of just RM1000 per month, which is unrealisticly low for overseas usage

Not necessary the case as in earlier calculation posted based on zenquix transactions. The AMEX even better than MBB Visa/MC. So with MBB Dua AMEX, I am sure it will beat other credit cards in terms of returns in voucher form. **Edited**

Erh, its evergreen if you have their SCB VI

SCB VI annual fee auto waive if don't spend a single sen with the card? If not, can use the annual fee and also higher interest from other banks' FD promotion rates to go buy stuff.

if i apply for scb visa and mastercard, that mean get 228 x2 = rm456 ?
Wah, this suggestion better, hahaha if it is applicable.

I would say the chances are fairly good. I am able to get waiver every year but you have to call in, waiver is not auto.
SCB waived my gold card annual fees but when upgraded to Plat, they only offered half. That was like 5 to 6 years ago.
QUOTE(tgeoklin @ Mar 7 2011, 08:51 AM)
In my decades of card usage with SCB, had never paid a single cent in annual fees or service charge, so I guess it ultimately boils down to your spending with them

You big spender ma

I guess you have the highest CL amongst us and also the lowest CL (still having your UOB at CL RM1K or have you asked them to incresed back the CL)
