wat's in Google min mow...
Gingerbread (2.3 & 2.4) are smartphone only
Honeycomb (3.0 & 3.1) are tablet only
Ice cream Sandwich (3.4? 3.5? 4.0?) is going to merge the 2 into 1 platform for both smartphones AND tablets...
Google said that they ve "cut the corners" in order to speed up the development of Honeycomb, and thus lacking some not so important features that are present in Gingerbread, most notably enterprise-grade security...
this is also the main reason y Honeycomb still hasn't been released to AOSP for general consumptions as Honeycomb has many flaws compared to Gingerbread if anyone wants to port it to a smartphone...
with Ice cream Sandwich i suppose Google is going to fill up the holes in Honeycomb as well...

Woww....I don't see any laptop having 2560x1600 even at 17", now a 10" tablet having it...far greater than FHD. Perhaps samsung wanna beat apple to be the 1st having Retina Display in tablet.

Review from editor of PC Mag comparing iPad2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Google Android Special Edition device (it doesn't have Samsung's TouchWiz interface or the upcoming Android 3.1). He also mentioned the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) may provide the most potent competition the Apple iPad has ever faced. More unbiased & neutral review which listed down all the points - PC Magazine

Rumours and more rumours... the prospect of Amazon having it's own family of Android devices (ie smartphones and tablets) surfaces again... seems like the logical move after launching their own app store and cloud music service for Android... possible hardware: Qualcomm Mirasol display TI OMAP 4 dual core Ice cream Sandwich http://androidandme.com/2011/05/news/rumor...g-this-holiday/

QUOTE(RayKazansky @ May 14 2011, 05:43 PM) Anybody doing the countdown of transformer being launched here? Not sure when is the launch date next week... I'm doing it. Most likely will pick one up when it's launched. Either on the day itself or that weekend.

My friend was asking me whether RM1499 for the 16GB version of the Transformer (tab)/ RM1600 for the 32GB Tranformer (tab) and RM1990 including the dock is worth it or not? I wonder where he got the price quotation since its not officially available yet right? This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: May 14 2011, 10:00 PM

Picked up my iconia. Tab yesterday, have to say this is a really sweet device, better than expectations but with all the quirks you would expect from an Android device. I knew exactly what I was getting, and the USB host, microsd and 32gb is really sweet right now.

I think official pricing would be lower than RM1499 for the tablet alone. Doesn't make sense if the fullset's ARV is RM1799.
