Very nice. Looking at things as is, I might be hopping onto AM3+ instead of SB. It's gonna boil down to whether z68/crosshair launches first, and how Amd's 8xxx fairs against 2600k

=) good luck to everyone who hunting for z68! i just got my p8z68-v pro yesterday, its seem like a downgrade from p8p67 deluxe but the price really killing lol so i go for the lower board instead ! so far so good!

most important! intel lied about the 3 years time frame of the storage controller degradation! in my previous system, after 3 months of heavy usage my PC will hang ONCE in a while or sometime explorer.exe crash etcs! but today this new z68 board after 24 solid hours of stress test, there din hav any syndrom of storage issue!

p.s i am still an asus user  tongue.gif

QUOTE(sapik900906 @ May 23 2011, 06:33 PM)
anyone have experience with jayacom before ?? for swaping b3 mobo..
how their feedback?

Added on May 24, 2011, 8:56 pmjust got feedback from jayacom from their fb when i ask about this B3 swaping program, here it is:
"just return back to the branch that you purchase with, and we gonna send it back to the manufacture as a warranty swap, once the board arrive back in our hand we will once inform you that it's ready to collect biggrin.gif do know that this process will undertake around 1 - 3 weeks."
i thought, they will give me on the spot like state in 1st page. but sadly no..

If your dealer is giving you problems, you can do the swap at our royal club. Just call them and inform them that you want to pop by and swap your board. Here's their number - +603-2148 0827.

QUOTE(billytong @ May 25 2011, 11:25 AM)
Royal club is just across the road @ imbi, call customer support deal directly with them, or ask Jayacom to work with royal club to make the swap happen. It is their job to do it. if it require u to head over royal club, do it(it is near jayacom anyway). Just inform them, give ur mobo serial number then give them a few days to make arrangement.

Asusmy already said it is able to swap 1 to 1 directly on the spot.

Ditto! icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(billytong @ May 25 2011, 08:31 PM)
Well, I insist on swapping on the spot. They did a full swap for me including the accessory.  tongue.gif

Thanks to Asusmy and CEX for arranging the smooth swap. I am satisfied smile.gif

That is strange indeed. I think there's a miscommunication here. Let me clarify with RC.

I'm actually more interested in seeing if there's a GENE version of this board. If I get a new rig, it has to be micro ATX due to lack of desk space.

Just swapped my P8P67 Deluxe to the B3 version at Viewnet last weekend. I was pleading with them to swap to the P8PZ68 pro but they will only allow swapping of the same model only. What's the difference anyway, they gave me a new box of the P8P67 deluxe. Damn..

One question, is it possible to buy the USB 3.0 front access box that is included in the deluxe mobo separately from Asus?

Asus teases concept dual CPU motherboard, codenamed Danshui Bay
user posted image
We just wrapped up the Asus ROG presscon here at Taiwan, and we’ve been teased with a concept board that has two processors. The board, codenamed Danshui Bay, has two CPU sockets – one 1366 and a 2011. If this board does get off the concept stage, it’ll allow users to have a future-proof system, as an Asus exec told us that users will be able to utilize both CPUs at the same time. Great stuff. Some more pictures of the thing below.

So the extreme z is sort of available in the trade zone but at RM1400+ I don't think I'd bother with it.

seriously Extreme-Z is kinda overpriced at RM200 more expensive than the vanilla P67.
Look at Giga, they even sell their Z68 boards slightly cheaper than the P67.
