Most geekhacker dont really pay much for keyboard anyway. Somemore, they usually dont look for offer from outside the state(which postage go up almost half of the keyboard price already...) except the board itself is cheap.

If want, create a thread at GS and sell in Malaysia market. Filco is overpriced in Malaysia even Edifier bringing it in(and he also stated that he only bring in 10 of those limited edition and also will sure cost over RM500(my bet that it is gonna be RM600+), thus can try to resell at RM600 in GS).

i wonder if there's other malaysian in GH? ( other than us here in MKC )

I would like to get brown switches on that one. But is it possible for me to get US letters for it? I don't think i will like otaku  shakehead.gif

Yes, US Layout is available.

it's just that Otaku will be a little unique and requires custom order. Well, something like that, but currently now, i can't reveal alot of information, plus the pricing, let's keep guessing while we wait for Filco and Leopold to Arrive in Malaysia.

i think you should keep it as part of your collection, Filco Cherry MX Red are very very very rare, unless specially modded.

So far my Razer BlackWidow's still doing good after alternating my Ducky-1008 MX Browns and BW for almost 3 months. It's not really that bad as everyone says. If you're into mechanicals for the first time and itching to get one NOW, I'd definitely recommend the BW because of the price/availability(warranty) and Cherry MX Blue switches.

Keyboards with Cherry MX Blue switches in my opinion is the best first mechanical keyboard to get as it really does feel different from conventional rubber dome keyboards. I can almost guarantee though, once you go mechanical you'll be itching for more. Then, that is the right time to get some MX Browns. I used to dislike it because it feels too soft/too little tactile feedback (almost mushy compared to Blues) but I'm growing more fond of it each day and I don't mind getting another keyboard with brown switches. I haven't tried Blacks yet but I think I wouldn't want to a keyboard with one, due to them being linear and having high spring rate. Theoretically it sounds like rubber dome but I'm sure that's not true.

So in conclusion I'd like to recommend MX Blue switches to everyone who's thinking of getting their first mechanical keyboard, irregardless of the clicky sound it makes which MIGHT annoy everyone around you because by then, you'd almost be certain to get more of these mechanical goodies! If you're feeling adventurous, you can go to global PCHOME and get your first one there. I'd recommend Ducky-1008,9008, or even the iOne m10 (MX Blue) for only RM194. I think they've largely fixed all the poor quality issues. Keep in mind though if you're using Paypal you have to pay extra 5% currency conversion cost and another RM30 on top of that for the shipping, so that's about RM234 shipped to your door. In 4 days. Freaking amazing.

Actually, Cherry MX Keyboard is always a good experience to try, well, except Black, they are similar to Rubber dome, this i have to agree. but the similarities are big, Key are very very responsive and not mushy. it's like a pressing it down feels more like the key slides down and bounce back up when you release it.

But if anyone that actually wanted to try Mechanical Keyboard for the 1st time, i do have to agree that Cherry MX Blue or Brown would be a better choice, since they have ALOT differences between rubber dome, feels like you're clicking a switch, and with it's tactile bump and clicky sound, it feels good when you clicking it because you do know that you're clicking it. But there's one drawback/cons. you guys know what the drawback is? Is too noisy!, i have use one and end up cursing by my friends, complaining it's too noisy while i was enjoying the clicky sound tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

For Cherry MX Black, it is only for people that knows what they want and already have experience with mechanical keyboard. So, i strongly recommend newbies to go for Blue and Brown.

"For Cherry MX Black, it is only for people that knows what they want and already have experience with mechanical keyboard."

Because you're already a experienced mechanical keyboard user and able to tell the difference,

For newbie that doesn't have any knowledge on mechanical keyboard and doesn't care about typing feel, Black will be a negative on them, no offense to newbies. But, when they do purchase a Cherry MX Black Keyboard, they will think "WTF? this has no difference from my rubberdome cheapo keyboard"

Black takes time to notice the typing feel in order feel good at typing, because newbies takes time to adapt to this keyboard and will have more annoyed by thinking this has no difference from rubber dome.

While Blue and Brown will offer an entirely different typing feeling because it has a tactile bumb or clicky sound(blue only), so newbies are much more easier to notice the difference, and will focus more on clicking a key to feel the tactile bump, thus resulting newbies to have more positive feedback upon Mechanical Keyboard.

Ha, maybe that's the reason Razer came out with the blue switch BW first, to expose the gamers/normal consumer about mechanical keyboard. lol
But it kinda defeat the purpose if their QC is bad...... sad.gif
