QUOTE(beebee @ Mar 29 2011, 04:12 PM) hi guys, need some opinion, i wanted to get the Steelseries 6gv2 for gaming purpose, issit better to go for mechanical keyboards or 6gv2 is better? i dont know how to order from PCHome, is there any significant differences from the 6gv2 to those Mechanical keyboards say Ducky 1008/9008? thanks For your knowledge, 6Gv2 is a mechanical Keyboard as well . Do remember the warranty doesn't cover in Malaysia, so if anything happens to the keyboard. It will be a big problem. But so far, there's no one suffer any issue here, so i think it's good until now. Hope no people is unlucky enough Still you can wait for Mechanical Keyboard to be available here. if you prefer to have warranty and easier to claim warranty from local stores and distributors.

Hello, guys, i need to collect information to list people that are interested in Leopold Keyboard FC300R which is Otaku version/Legendless(blank keycap)
These are available, and they could produce such keyboard. but would require special order. Do remember the price doesn't change. it's just that, if you want blank keycap, you have to specify.

Is there a need to start a new thread for this, the leopolds?
It is counterintuitive, but them mods are sensitive towards these things

Theres an ione scorpius with MX blues going for RM189 before shipping. Pretty cheap, but people cast doubts on the build quality. Otherwise theres that keyboard with double shot keycaps from taobao Any cheaper and you have to look for ALPS switches, or see whoever has BS switches lying around in their houses.

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Mar 29 2011, 09:33 PM) Minimum price for Cherry Mechanical KB now will be around RM260(import from Taiwan). If share the postage(3 maximum) then it can go down to around RM240. Okay, forget there is still iOne, the OEM for Razer BW series... (razer already bad. wonder what comment for iOne itself... ) wow... razer is that bad in mech keyboard?

So far my Razer BlackWidow's still doing good after alternating my Ducky-1008 MX Browns and BW for almost 3 months. It's not really that bad as everyone says. If you're into mechanicals for the first time and itching to get one NOW, I'd definitely recommend the BW because of the price/availability(warranty) and Cherry MX Blue switches.
Keyboards with Cherry MX Blue switches in my opinion is the best first mechanical keyboard to get as it really does feel different from conventional rubber dome keyboards. I can almost guarantee though, once you go mechanical you'll be itching for more. Then, that is the right time to get some MX Browns. I used to dislike it because it feels too soft/too little tactile feedback (almost mushy compared to Blues) but I'm growing more fond of it each day and I don't mind getting another keyboard with brown switches. I haven't tried Blacks yet but I think I wouldn't want to a keyboard with one, due to them being linear and having high spring rate. Theoretically it sounds like rubber dome but I'm sure that's not true.
So in conclusion I'd like to recommend MX Blue switches to everyone who's thinking of getting their first mechanical keyboard, irregardless of the clicky sound it makes which MIGHT annoy everyone around you because by then, you'd almost be certain to get more of these mechanical goodies! If you're feeling adventurous, you can go to global PCHOME and get your first one there. I'd recommend Ducky-1008,9008, or even the iOne m10 (MX Blue) for only RM194. I think they've largely fixed all the poor quality issues. Keep in mind though if you're using Paypal you have to pay extra 5% currency conversion cost and another RM30 on top of that for the shipping, so that's about RM234 shipped to your door. In 4 days. Freaking amazing.

I would say. Go for the BW, its not as bad as it sounds. Sure iphone has mentioned some flaws, but he is just a hater anyway. And most if not all of the problems are either DIY fixable or not really noticeable by the average user. Added on March 29, 2011, 10:38 pmQUOTE(lucidlts @ Mar 29 2011, 10:36 PM) oouch... poor braided cable :/ is it really necessary for a braided cable anyway? I like braided cables. Makes me feel that the cables last longer. Normal is like will break easily to me. My BWU cable doesnt look like that though. This post has been edited by BlueBerry~: Mar 29 2011, 10:38 PM

This Filco Red, is really not my keyboard. I think I'll keep using it for a few more weeks. Then probably change back to my BWU.
