QUOTE(felicious @ Aug 23 2012, 06:06 PM) Checking on the benefit on Public Bank debit card whether does it worth for me to get a card or not. For ~RM250 per month, you get about RM30 rebate using esso per year. You decide if this is worth it or not. Could be useful for emergency cases if this gonna be your first card. You will only know the balance if you check from ATM or online. QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Aug 23 2012, 06:12 PM) get a credit card my dearĀ more benefits/rebates You read up there, she already say no to CC, focusing on debit card now. Thats why Gov imposed GST With GST introduction, I increased my credit card count from 2 to 10 now... How does the GST help reduce number of credit cards issued ??? GST created a new cash-back card segment and makes Ah Jib kor richer only.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Aug 22 2012, 12:09 PM) If you spend RM30 on petrol, it will be rebate RM0.03 (1%) into your statement bill on the next bill cycle. Meaning you have to pay RM29.97 to your credit card instead of RM30 Err... 1% of RM30 is 30 cents

Wow this is good thread,
I have question, recently I get my Maybankard 2 Visa Gold Maybankard 2 Amex Gold
As the TS mention,
Maybankard 2 Amex - 5XTP equivalent to approximately 2.5% returns plus extra 5% cash back on weekends . No cap for TP but cash back capped at RM50/month including petrol.
With Maybankard 2 American Express, I will get 5X Treats Points points everyday at all Petrol Stations but Petronas generally don't accept Amex. The 5X TP is equivalent to about 2.5% cash back in terms of voucher.
Seems like Maybankard 2 Amex Gold is better in rewarding its customer. Just to double confirm few things,
1. The cash back of 5% deduct through the statement? 2. I always pump at SHELL, can I still use Bonus Link + Maybankard 2 Amex Gold together to get extra points? Which card should I put first?
Thx in advance ......

Yes to both questions. Cashback will be reflected in your statement on the 1st or 2nd of the month. Bonuslink first.
