Hopefully no problem.
Esso/Mobil already start to lose some customers since the recent revision of SmilesPoint Redemption program. Don't do any further self-killing action.

Today tried another station near JB town but also declined. End up use my MBB2 Amex at Caltex nearby. No problem with Caltex stations. Last I checked Caltex no points/ reward programme. Can anyone confirm?

So far Esso stations tried but declined:
1) Esso station towards Gelang Patah
2) Esso station below flyover to Jalan Skudai
3 and 4) Esso stations at Jalan Skudai towards Senai direction
5) Esso station before Tebrau flyover along Pasir Gudang Highway (towards Pasir Gudang direction)
6 and 7) Esso stations along Pasir Gudang Highway (towards Skudai direction).

Amex was declined at pump at all the stations above. Stations 1) and 2) declined at pump and counter. The rest, I din't ask at the counters.

Approved? I'm not sure. Didn't really follow up. The last news I remembered is that the offer from San Miguel isn't that good. Sorry for being outdated.

Over time.
Offer price from San Miguel was not attractive but was the best to Exxon Mobil in their opinion. You are right. Technically, it is not sold yet as approval has not been obtained.

Back to CC, it seems only my area's Esso stations are affected. sigh.

I am switching to other brands if this persist.
