already said AF-on basically is replace the half-press of shutter to focus.

you still do not understand what is AF-C, and also AF-S.
time for u to go read the manual.

Hmm sorry my bad. I make you misunderstand

You look at the video , he said after release af-on , the focus will locked . That why i wonder why mine cannot lock one if using af-on . but using af-l can lock focus(w/o release the button)

Maybe is the video maker mistake?

I just curious about this. I know af-on is act like half pressed shutter button but abit advanced of it.

How to use the AF-On technique in the field
To emulate single-servo mode (focus/recompose/shoot)

1.Place the active AF point on your subject
2.Press the AF-On button to acquire focus
3.Release the AF-On button to lock focus <--------i just wonder why mine af-on cannot lock focus one
4.Recompose and shoot <------ i use af-on to acquire focus edi then i release , i able to shoot (press shutter button) w/o recompose my picture. once i recompose and shoot , i cannot press shutter button. I just wonder why he said can recompose and shoot. this is my problem.

single-servo mode = AF-S.
lock focus = lock focus on the subject at a FIXED distance, if the subject moves forward or backward just slap the subject and ask him to stay still.

camzone in jaya one.
if u dont mind full retail, since most also sell full retail, just go straight to the distro www.hambone.com.my in PJS.
Thanks for the info. I will call them up and look for them. smile.gif

Capture NX basically can change everything like what LR or ACDSee can do wink.gif
I just checked. You cannot.

Compare between real NEF and NEF that is saved from JPG.

The best conversion you get from Nikon's NEF is still from Capture NX2 unfortunately.

each of us have a different type of RAW conversion because each of us take different type of photographs.
event/wedding photographers prefer lightroom 3 because of the new noise reduction that works like a charm.
some professionals perfer the aperture 3.
some will go back to capture NX (the slide thing on image is awesome)
and some prefer the capture one

oppss i forgot to include camera raw. lol

what i can advice is take one near to perfect shot in terms on sharpness, details and exposure.

process it in various different kind of software. don't do a lot of sharpening or adjustment in the software, just convert it to TIFF only.
open it on photoshop and see the different each image is.
