why don't u just do a dual boot Vista and XP..
U can do a clean installation of Vista on fresh partition by mounting the ISO in XP..
provided that u have enuff HD space lah..  cool.gif

What did you use to mount? Use daemon tools to mount a bootable disc. Do not use winrar.

Windows Vista x64 RC1 installation failed on me twice during "Completing Installation" session, and it won't continue install after that..

is there a way for me to get rid of the boot menu that let u choose between "Windows Vista" and "Earlier version of Windows" ?
using msconfig wont do

1. Locate a bootable Windows XP CD. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE you have a working disc before you proceed. Also, make sure you know the Administrator account password for your XP installation.

2. Insert XP CD, reboot computer, and press a key when it tells you to "Press a key to boot from CD".

3. When you get to the "Welcome to setup" screen (the first one that accepts user input), press R to enter the recovery console.

4. Select your XP installation from the list that appears (there will probably only be one thing anyways) and then enter your administrator password when prompted.

5. At the command prompt, enter fixboot, press enter, and answer "y" to the confirmation prompt.

6. Reboot your computer. Ignore the "Press any key..." prompt. Your computer should boot into XP.

If your computer still doesn't boot, use this procedure again, but run the fixmbr command in place of the fixboot command. It shouldn't be necessary since NT-based loaders only use the boot sector, but the unexpected is always a possibility.

i got mine Creative Audigy LS installed on vista rc1..
after the fresh installation of my windows...
i try to install the software with cd for my audigy ls..but is not working..

i actually go to control panel...and Device Manager and right click on the mutlimedia controller and Update Driver Software....
ok...with these..action..the driver for my creative audigy ls is installed..but not the software..

and i go to the sound in control panel the first tab "PlayBack" show the sound card of my Creative Audigy LS....and among the 3 tabs there..."PlayBack", "Recording" and "Sounds"...everytime i click on Recording..the system restart..i tried few times....and is the same..everytime i click on "Recording" tab the system restart...

and i try to install the software with the cd this time is working...
now i can use the software to adjust my speaker setting..

Try Out....

Certainly YES...
You can protect your PC with Pc-cillin Beta version (works with Vista).

Don't use installer, instead, locate it through Device Manager. That's what I do for mine. Some installer can install some programs that can result in crashes, so I usually let Vista handle the driver installation for me

Hey guys I can't seem to switch my OS between XP and Vista. My PC loads XP on default but when I press F8 before loading XP I can't seem to choose between Vista and XP. They only have Windows XP as a selection there. Any idea?

Thx
