I'm replying to Drian's question on there's this mentality that guys have to pay for everything, which I think can't be apply on nowadays d.

In today's world, where cari makan is not easy for an average income earner, i dun think this mentality is entirely true. How much an average worker earn a mth? The guy certainly dun pay for everything and the gf certainly have a job, where they share expenses together. If u saying about our father or grandfather era, yes, mostly man pays for everything coz the woman will be the hsewife and stays at home care for the family.

But now, most ppl guy or girl will have their own job, n this mentality doesn't really apply anymore. Many of my girl frens share to buy hse with their husbands, share for renovation. How can a man afford to buy a hse by himself w/out sharing wth his wife unless he himself is a millionaire/businessman or earn a lot in a mth. If the guy fork out the monthly installment 4 the hse, then the wife maybe have to take care of other expenses.

My brother's salary less than rm3K, he and his wife can't afford own home after married, then he n his wife stay at my father's side hse lorr till both of them can afford share a hse together. I think it really depends on what type of girl a guy meet, very important. I've seen cases where the guy is rich, then he willing to pay everything for the girl, no problem.

I've seen cases where the guy not that rich, he keeps paying for the girl but dun get the girl, then the guy complain. I think the guy shouldn't keep using $ to atrract a girl in the 1st place, this may attract the wrong type of girl for himself.

Agreed, especially this specific line.

I believe also, too often, some guys go about trying to attract girls using gifts and money, and if they do get the girl, they are kind of bound to keep on providing the gifts and money, because it was the norm that they set when they were chasing after the girl. And they end up complaining about the girl going after their money when they themselves set themselves up. Hard to blame a person for expecting something that they were consistently getting in the past.

I don't think it is as much about women preferring to be single than it is about women being less dependant upon a man. These days, women are self sufficient and the pressure to look for a dude to care for her and provide for the household is much less. Dudes have to work harder to keep their women happy these days.

Please lah... don't always burn the whole forest because of 1 tree. Now the whole world knows you got bad experience before lah (being dumped by girl friend because you were poor) then how? All you can do now is forget about it and move on, stop judging other girls, seems like you only got dumped by girl once then whole world's girls are the same as your ex, be more open minded lar!

Can't rely on anyone financially/emotionally 100%. Better to be comfortable/happy with ourself 1st, if love comes, good, we can share love together. If no fate yet, then we still can be happy and contented on our own.

Being too dependent on others, can really wreck a person if the other half decides to break up with us.

I got 1 colleague, still single, she is assistant manager now. That day we talked about relationship matter, she said not that she doesn't want to get married, but very hard to find a good man. Remember nice guys & gals finish 1st, no doubt you may have career & high status. But does it really help you in the relationship or getting a partner?

Really not easy to find a nice loyal guy. Some of the guys just have many bad habits/vices (gamblers/smokers/frequent clubbing/one leg 2 boat type/ finding hookers). Guess girls also insecure and lost confidence in love d. Rather be single than being in a relationship 4 the sake of being in 1.

Those nice loyal guys normally are Mr. Nice guys (nerd nerd type & dun really know how socialise).

But girls always dun like this type of guys, complain they're boring & can't communicate. Then those attractive & handsome guys often those have bad habits as u mention.

easy said, their eye level higher than normal, hence harder to get the Mr. Right. well, it is their choice, they happy to be single for now, maybe to old to death as well.

As long as people with too much bad habits/vices, it's a real turn off. Their lifestyle is such that they dun even take care of themself, how they want girls to be attracted to them? Guys who frequent prostitutes/heavy drinkers/gamblers, but themself want nice decent girls, I think it's better to reflect on themself 1st, improve on themself 1st b4 they want any good or decent girls.

Possible, women can use her high status to get a man, a lot of "small white face" waiting on rich women to provide for them these days. But I would put these people on the same counterpart as hookers and whores. They're only in for the money, and you never know if they're really sincere. But what it can guarantee is that the rich woman won't be single and they have companionship.

Can't really generalize that way lar... The male population can't possibly be categorized into only two types. I'm sure there are many who meet in between.
