QUOTE(krk24 @ Apr 16 2011, 02:18 AM) bro...its not a defect...that how its been manufactured!....otherwise the function of the 4 keys at the bottom (home, info, arrow(back) & magnifying glass) wont change when we view from vertical to horizontal...at dark areas u cant see much the behind layer..but at under brighter conditions u are able to see the layer beneath...so its not defect! I did say it was a "defect" right? Note the double apostrophe. When I got the phone I noticed this but didnt think it was a real defect since it was mentioned in some review I read. Then a forumer said that SiS gave a replacement, which got me to say that this was not a manufacturing flaw but instead an isolated problem. For my case, I can still see it in dark conditions.

Yes. This is the unique and selling point as so far only this phone has this feature. It is not a defect..

This is HTC Official statement from their site about the rotatable soft buttons: " Intelligent design, down to the buttons. With the HTC Incredible S, all the details have been polished and fine tuned. While other phones support auto landscape rotation for wide screen viewing experience, the HTC Incredible S even rotates the buttons on your phone for easier navigation."
I was surprised to read that Digi takes it back acknowledging it is a problem !! But not surprising as most counter sales staff are usually not knowledgeable about the technical details

Actually benny, i think what the problem is that you can see both arrows at one point of a time. Like when i tilt my phone upright, like lmoast 90 degrees, i can see the arrow point left, and an arrow pointing right. Same with the search button.
Added on April 16, 2011, 9:32 amMines a HT12 batch though.

I can only see one image at all angles. If one can see both - than should send in to claim a new set

U wouldn't expect a vet to do surgery for a human , don't u. Wat sales are informed on the product is very minimal. They aren't taught to troubleshoot phone problems.

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Apr 16 2011, 10:47 AM) Wonder why dont they have international warranty. Why don't you try send in to HTC Msia service center. I have two very good experiences with HTC Service Center at Harbour Court/Singapore. Both my HTC Windows Mobile 6.5 units were bought in KL - one an SIS original and another AP set. On both ocassions they process my units - they just key in Serial number ( need not show any proof of purchase ) and all done free including motherboard replacement Anyway check if your Spore set is under Brightpoint distributorship ( there is a warranty slip with HTC Service Centre contact number ) - just call them and they will pickup phone at any place in Spore free of charge - you need not go back to the shop This post has been edited by benny888: Apr 16 2011, 11:00 AM
