Touchscreen, Acer W500@RM1699

Contemplating on the N53SN (or hopefully N43SN if it comes to Malaysia) as my most likely choice of purchase since the responses on LYN are generally favourable. Will be back from UK in May and I read in one of the threads, the new lineup from Asus comes out then (May brochure or something) so do I wait it out for now or go with the ?

Just wanna clarify on the Dell types:

Vostro/Latitude = Business?
Inspiron = Budget?
XPS/Alienware = Gaming?

XPS is more to multimedia
Precision = Workstation

Sorry to ask, got say for laptop, which brand will better or all same?

Each brand has good/bad laptops
Quality varies from series to series and sometimes a little bit of luck

it depends on personal view... cos diff ppl will have diff opinions

Yea i know, but i ask my frens about acer laptop, can say 90% of them ask me dont buy...

Of course, its like asking whether Intel or AMD, most people will say AMD hot even though its been 11 years since that happen

Acer laptop nowadays are much better build than other brand in the same price, and also better spec as well. It depends on how you use them, some of my friends Acer laptop working great for 4+ years.

But i can say, most of my frens use acer laptop, all will complain. But i know all brands sure will have ppl complain, just in my mind, is plan to get Asus or Dell 1st...

wonders if all the new laptops that come with nvidia gc all equipped with optimus

If my budget was around 4k , what u guys recommend ? Light gamin like dota , do assingment , watch drama only.

For gaming like dota, dont need too high GC. So i think get i5 + any ati/amd/nvidia gc will do. Laptop stuff keep update, we cant keep follow unless u very rich or u use to play high-end games. For my advice, spend Rm2.5k like that to get new laptop and save the change. After 2-3 years, upgrade again...

overkill budget for such usage. plenty of sub 3k will do just fine. close ur eyes n pick any rm2.4k range lol or maybe those FHD screen lapppy (XPS 15)for extra kick in drama watching.. if that drama have any lol

Erm , can macbook play any game ? If i play high graphic game take asus better right ?

those nice looking lappy from apple stable aint made for gaming.

from asus? N53SN could easily handle most game with acceptable quality n fps. with nice set of speakers too

There is an increase of Mac games since Valve made Steam for Mac and ported a lot of titles on it
If not, boot camp. Simple.
IMHO the new 13 inch version is not really good, you pay 3.6k to get an i5 that doesn't have a dedicated graphic card...
