Then you should try Acer's TimelineX 4830TG or Asus A43Sv...
TimelineX and Ethos are Acer's premium lines Unless your work requires a lot of processing power, getting an i5-2410M won't affect gaming performance |

Hello guys, I need help in suggestions.. because I've been surveying but still cannot decide.. basically I'm looking for a laptop that's 13 inch or below, but can use adobe photoshop.. with budget RM2.5k and below. And since I'm a girl, I need a lightweight laptop.. preferably less than 2 kg. Any recommendation?
So far I have Dell Inspiron 13R in mind and Sony Vaio.. considering Acer also but still unsure cuz my current acer laptop has serious heat issue. |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Mar 28 2011, 04:44 PM) [/spoiler] really? Not aware of such model in Malaysia... usually different countries will have laptops with different specs If its really RM2250 with those specs, its a steal haha... but do take note that you may experience problems with claiming your warranty over here.... The 14 inchers (of Malaysia) which are the nearest in terms of performance would be the Acer TimelineX 4830Tg and Asus A43Sv, both with (i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M). Added on March 28, 2011, 4:44 pm Its still the best performer for 11.6 inchers within a budget of RM2k Comes with 18 months warranty and spill resistant keyboard~ |

Need some comments here about the new Dell Inspiron series.
The 15" and 17" has same price right? And I think 17" has only core i5. Will there be any general differences between them? Like speeds, performance etc, since the screen is bigger. |

QUOTE(jusjus88 @ Mar 28 2011, 10:04 PM) Need some comments here about the new Dell Inspiron series. I don't think we have 17" Inspirons? Or are you referring to Vostros? Anyway, generally larger laptops with larger screen will have shorter battery life. But they tend to have better cooling because of the larger space for heat dissipation |

QUOTE(jusjus88 @ Mar 28 2011, 10:18 PM) oh sorry i meant Vostro Just checked Dell Malaysia. Its seems the GPU used in the 15 inch Vostro 3550 (AMD HD6630) is different than that of the 17 inch Vostro 3750 (Nvidia GT525M)...But say, if i dont bring my laptop ard much, i think the 17" is a good deal right? If you're not planning to bring it anywhere, battery life won't be that important anymore, so the 17 would be a better choice But its best that you check the laptop and see whether the screen wobbles or not, its very common in larger laptops, and its very annoying This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Mar 28 2011, 10:25 PM |
