unsure.gif I recalled those days having even like 80GB was considered huge. Now... everything seems so small.

Hey , Why is my New bought Asus N53SV shows no graphic card at "dxdiag" de ?? @@ Only shown Intel HD Graphics >.<

BTW, Isnt sandy bridge model is INtel HD3000 instead of HD Graphics de meh ?? =s
*
Go run HD on youtube, make sure it's changed to GT540M, and check 'dxdiag' again.

And HD Graphics IS Intel HD3000..

Okay guys, I've bought the Asus N53SN from Hikari85. I decided to get the i7 one since I think it's a better investment for a long term use. So far I'm loving it, very solid built and nice looking as well.  nod.gif

RRP RM2799...
It has better build, speaker, GPU, but no USB 3.0 if that's important for you and its only i5 2410M.
*
N53sv doesn't have 3.0?

ok thx mate , but what about if i didnt do anything ,just let the laptop be there after i set to high performance setting , will it drain faster than the balanced mode still?
*
Given with the new optimus tech, your laptop will last longer if you're idling even on performance mode (but considerably shorter compared to balanced mode/power saving mode).

QUOTE(SRLee @ Mar 23 2011, 09:58 PM)
Hi, I need some recommendations on laptops. Here's the details:

1. Brand: Any

2. Budget: RM5,000

3. Specs: Any

4. Size: Light

5. Purpose: Studies

Thanks!

P.S Is a Mac necessary for Pre-U studies? My friend told me that using Mac for Pre-U/University is not good because when you're needed to give a presentation, it will be harder to connect to the screen if compared to using Windows. Is this true?
*
Get the ASUS U-series. LIGHT, POWERFUL and at least it support VGA without some fancy adapters.

Ok so it is overkill.

No point spending RM100 to eat a Big Mac when I can get two Quarter-Pounders at much cheaper price. tongue.gif

So what laptops should I be considering right now?
*
The U series 13.3" is slightly expensive because of the design and thin-ess smile.gif
