@ivan92
Vostros... screen is smaller.
Vostro V130 is with only internal graphics with is quite unusable for your usage...
Vostro 3300 has NVIDIA 310M which is quite okay...
I would go for Acer 4253 nod.gif Cheap 14 inch and a real graphic card integrated in the CPU and with better battery life too icon_idea.gif

I thought i would wanna play games like CODMW2 when i get my new lappie.  sweat.gif

Talking bout multimedia editting, my usage is process photo, photoshop. and may be full hd movie editting in the future?  icon_question.gif

I don't think the MacBook Pro 13 inch could handle with new Intel HD 3000 sweat.gif
I would suggest to take the 15 inch though, it's all powerful and the price is powerful too.
ASUS or Dell thumbup.gif
And there is hackintosh (if you would want to venture into it)
For the price of Macs, you're paying for the brand, the quality and the OS in a very expensive way sweat.gif

Oh, and there's bootcamp if you want to use Windows on a Mac to play games.
Recently removed support for Vista, only 7 for now

continue at here since the v9 closed liao blush.gif

anybody know how much is the fee for warranty extension for thinkpad laptop?
by default 1 year warranty is provided by lenovo for thinkpad laptop, am i right?
the thinkpad edge 13 is using i3 or C2D?  hmm.gif
because i found some review said that it's using C2D but the one that i saw is i3
or just the 14 is using i3?
so any comment on this laptop is good or bad? laugh.gif
i assume it's good since it's a thinkpad

i like the feels thinkpad gives me because it's way solid than my laptop sad.gif
regret for not get a thinkpad sad.gif
*
I posted you a reply on page 2 sweat.gif
I guess you can go for ThinkPad X120e, for your usage I'm still thinking the E-350 processor will handle very well

didnt notice that doh.gif
because just now i check the v9
closed doh.gif

hmmm
actually not me, i got a studio xps liao laugh.gif
my sis is the one want to use
because i saw the red colour edge 13/14 (not sure  whistling.gif ) with i3, 2099
quite solid
so i think quite suits her
but so far thinkpad x200 still my favourite  brows.gif
i always borrow my friend's x200
my friend didnt take care of it, roll all around in the car, fold it to flat during presentation(use it as a note), squeeze it into backpack full with stuffs , almost 3 years liao, still tough yo rclxms.gif
biggrin.gif
noted
the new acer i5 already got SB?
*
I would say... i5 is quite a waste for your sister's usage sweat.gif
The AMD's E-350 is above what Intel's latest Atom can offer, yet better graphics and longer battery life. Seriously, I would say it's more or less an i3 with a dedicated graphic card.

any sifu?

what do you guys think about asus 1015pem?
*
Old Intel Atom... not recommended.
For a netbook, HP dm1z? Reviews say it's only the noisy fan is a problem, other than that it's great!
QUOTE(ivan92 @ Mar 16 2011, 12:14 AM)
thank you so much laugh.gif

thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
well, even myself also seldom push my i5 to max sweat.gif
gaming still on the destop

so, E-350 can handle PPS+MSN+chrome with >6 tabs (included a few FB flash game) + word/ppt + media player?
because she always do the things i listed above sweat.gif
*
Exactly my point nod.gif
Based on reviews, the E-350 is really made to handle these things biggrin.gif
Lenovo X120e would suit your sister well too, durable and still a ThinkPad laugh.gif

There is a software to control the fan speed from what I know by reading around, called HP Cool Sense that could either performance or quiet computing

Yes, that's the problem. Even with that in the netbook, the fan is still noisy.

x120e is E-350 right?
looks like not bad  tongue.gif
so the price is how much? hmm.gif
*
Somehow not available yet sweat.gif In Malaysia I mean.
Here is a list of AMD APU laptops by AMD itself nod.gif List of AMD APU laptops
Not all is available in *yet* Malaysia though yawn.gif
The main reasons to get AMD APU netbooks compared to Intel Atom is because it has better graphics, longer battery life, less heat problem and most importantly a lot cheaper~ laugh.gif

Yes, N53SN is i7 laugh.gif
Anyway, if you're gonna go gaming, get i5 version.
i7 is optimised for 3D, photo and everything else about rendering.

correct me if im wrong tho sweat.gif

bte djronzai , still hangs around here even bought 5750g. later people post thier n53sn sure butthurt wan laugh.gif
*
Confirmed laugh.gif
i7 is best for multitasking and rendering heavy duty stuff. Movies, audio and video encoders are really processor rapists
Not sure about games, but i5 has multiple cores also. Why need to go so far?

Multi-task = Running a lot of tasks/programs at one particular time..
Rendering = Usually refers to graphic aspects where you edit/transform (render) stuffs... hard to explain for a noob like me LOL, perhaps graphic designers can help out?  notworthy.gif
*
I'm no graphic designer but just to back you up
Rendering as in... making the 3D face and the shape, then to skin it with colour, effects and stuff is rendering.

15 inch version truly bulky shakehead.gif

which build quality is better tongue.gif

There are really pros and cons in everything, depends on which one suites you best and also meets all of your conditions nod.gif
Personally would go for ASUS N-series laugh.gif Price-to-performance ratio is my problem.

Or Acer 4743ZG P6200 2.13GHz/2GB/320GB/14"/GT 520M 1GB/Windows 7 Home Premium@RM1749 (I get it for RM1679). I suggest you take Acer, much better overall. GT 520M is faster as well
*
I would suggest getting the ASUS one with i3. P6200 is just too old, battery consumption would be a problem
QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Mar 16 2011, 10:14 PM)
So If for now , N53sv is the BEST ?? Got USB 3.0 mar ?? @@
*
Got one port, more than enough laugh.gif
If you buy all USB 3.0 also not all devices will have USB 3.0, and not all connecting at once icon_idea.gif
ASUS's plan to lower the price is good!

FYI, Dell is running i7 SB while Asus is running i5 SB.  smile.gif
