It's saddening too how Intel's HD 3000 is required minimum to run Portal 2. Still though, I doubt that Intel HD3000 is as bad as it sounds to be, have to test yourself to know

The HD3000 looks powerful on paper and in benchmarks but it's only more optimized for programs like 3D Marks and PC Marks. In real world gaming, it still lags behind discrete solutions.

Which is? Huh? Intel HD3000 was never bad to start with... many were surprised at what it can do when it was 1st launched haha No N43 at all in the latest brochure... not even N43Sl.... guess it ain't coming after all |

QUOTE(Koki @ May 6 2011, 02:57 AM) Yeah, I was surprised by the HD3000, waaaaaaaaay above my expectations but below my condition =\ Well, for those who don't game (and thus don't get laptops with dedicated GPUs)... it would be good to know that the Intel HD3000 would be powerful enough to satisfy their daily needs Anyway though, I swear I saw the ASUS product guide for April on PC Fair that HAS that N43SL behind for RM2599 I swear I didn't see that wrongly, I still have it at my KL house. I'm at Ipoh now though But for gamers like us hehe, Intel HD3000 is only there for power saving Yeah, I believe you: Its just weird that for the N43SL and 1215b, there appeared in last month's brochure but vanished in this month's one |

If normal office tasks, there's no real need for the extra power... And do take note that with the i7, you'll need to compromise abit with the higher heat as well as shorter battery life |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ May 6 2011, 12:18 PM) i7 is way powerful than the i5 due to it being a quad core... but whether you need it or not depends on the programs you use... oic, thanks for the review..but seen like i5 and i7 just different about RM250+If normal office tasks, there's no real need for the extra power... And do take note that with the i7, you'll need to compromise abit with the higher heat as well as shorter battery life so why not to grab a powerful i7 as well. another thing, any different for gaming between i5 and i7 with the same graphic card GT540M? |
