Today I received a replacement Maybankard 2 Amex Platinum with the word "PLATINUM" printed on the card. It is free of charge, and same card number too.

In exact words, what did you tell the Customer Service to get a FREE replacement...

Got a call from Maybank today, they offered me Maybankard 2 Gold Card, I'm just a fresh grad so not like you guys here have Platinum Card. blush.gif

Hope this is a good deal. biggrin.gif Since I already have a CIMB Direct Access MasterCard, this time I chose for Amex+Visa. Read from this thread, it seems good comments eh? hmm.gif

I know but used to have a Visa but got terminated last month because of expiring soon. laugh.gif
I prefer Visa somehow but since I already got a MC from CIMB so this time just chose Visa back. tongue.gif

yah since you got CIMB Mastercard, get Maybankard 2 Visa. CIMB do have good promotion for thier MasterCard.

For more info how you can benefit from MBB 2, read my review on Maybankard 2 cards as my blog:

Yes, I purposely requested that my Maybankard 2 Amex Platinum be replaced with a new card 2 days ago. And today, I received the new card (only Maybankard 2 Amex Platinum) via Poslaju.

@solarwing: Maxis Centre in The Gardens and KLCC opens on weekend and accepts AMEX

@simplesmile: Maybank's GST comes later not necessary on 1st statement like most banks.

I think I have not seen any service tax on my CIMB Direct Access if I'm not mistaken. hmm.gif Already got it for about a year now, whatever I swiped reflects on my bill and without service tax.

It will appear on the card's anniversary. The gov service tax exact billing date is stated at the bottom line of your monthly statement.

Oh is it? I'm sorry, I'm pretty new to these CC, I only know to swipe. laugh.gif I gotta check my statement when I go back hometown then.
How much is that? I'm sorry again because this seems to be OT on this topic.
