Invitation means they called and offered you the card? I applied twice, 1st is at maybank branch, then at the 2nd day, someone from Maybank called to offer me the card, so I had duplicate application, it's approved, but I'm not sure from which application.

the rebate is from 1st day of the month to end of the month, and then it will be reset the following new month ?

I think is follow Ur statement date..not the 1st day of every month

got official invitation letter by Maybank, it has stated that free 10k TP if approved

i think is follow the monthly spending instead of statement date because my statement date is 6th, i had transaction on 1st of this month. The TP calculated was until end of last month only

You are right... 1st to end of the month, then reset again.
More accurate is from 1st Saturday of the month to the last Sunday of the same month

My card has arrived, tomorrow will go and collect, the whole process is less than 2 weeks, much faster than what I've expected.

You're lucky. Mine one, applied on 3/May and today, only called me to verify my application. Then, asked me to email them my application again coz fax not clear. Not understand, why have to wait so long only to ask me to resend?

not everyone is entitled for the free 10k points. I got an invitation without any free points but my sis did.

So who is entitled? and whats their difference?

I've been Maybank cardholder for more than 5 years or more.

obviously no one can know their selection criteria.
most of us here have been mb card holders as well, so no need to freak out

Just received my Platinum Amex/MasterCard.

Pretty fast I must said, one week after apply in Ipoh branch.

i received the free 10k TP invitation first, then subsequently i received calls from MBB for 2 times ask me to apply then i told them i already have it and using already.

then last week, i received their MBB 2 invitation again but without free 10k TP.

i think they never update their internal system

My application has been submitted since 16 May 2011. Normally it's take how long to get the card?

Asked for payslips after the application. After I faxed, no news. Called them, they said didn't receive the fax. Ask to fax again. There is no way to contact the person on the other end of the line. Everytime you call, a new CS response to you. The customer service is just too bad.
