anyone got news on PPL access in KLIA2 ?

I had to do two torturous layovers in DXB recently (3 hours and 7 hours). Priority pass allowed access into Marhaba lounges which is their equivalent of PPL (poor man's lounge).

Used the one near the A gates both times in Terminal 3. Didn't check out the other two in the other terminals as both flights were on EK, but apparently the one in T3 is the nicer of the lot, based on what I read.

You also have to pay some RM50 to use the mediocre shower facilities, it reminded me of badly designed locker room cubicles.

The lounge gets really crowded during peak hours. You have everyone and their grandmother snoring away on the couches much like the public areas.

But I guess it is the better option as compared to toughing it out in the common public areas while transiting in DXB, as anyone who has had the "pleasure" of having to so would know.

can i bring my wife with me for ppl using 1 my priority pass?

no, you can't

more important, is there any lounge ready in KLIA2 yet?

There is one PPL there but not sure if it is already open. Waiting for reviews

Really? Coz when u swipe the priority pass they only stated use 1(for myself only) i did ask the staff at ppl lcct.she said can use up to how many time the bank give u ( example mbb infinate 5time/year) she said i can either use all at one time..

Oh ya..i at ppl lcct now..the one inside is close already.just use the other one outside

I also hope it will extend to KLIA PPL, although I think the chances will be very slim, unless they are willingly to bear the costs.

You can use it for free for your own access according to the number of access granted to you.

However, if you bring a guest, you would need to pay for his / her access.

That is the usual case but the staff said can use all up in one time? wah jackpot

Asked my RM.. Alliance bank Premium Debit card allows holders to enter PL KLIA 2 effective on the 26th of May with 70 ppl quota per month if not mistaken.

Went browsing thru KLIA2 just now and at lvl 2 next to Thai odyssey at the shopping mall side they are still doing works on the PPL.

Straight away call to Amex cs and asked they say we are entitle to enter at klia2 PPL once it's open. I hope it's true

When i transit in sri lanka yesterday, i use the priority pass to enter lotus lounge with my wife.. it stated that i bring 1 guest..so definately cardholder have to pay for guest. Maybe staff in lcct giving wrong info.

So little the quota. 70 people perday should be more reasonable.

I used it and discount it's 30% for companion.
I was using the access in midnight, not so many people and they don't care/bother to check so much. Bought shower pass for partner and stayed in the lounge for a while. Guess since it's not peak hours they are ok with it.

Where is PPL located... domestic or international departure ?

PB Visa Signature Credit Card

Just wondering if I can use my Alliance Visa Platinum to enter the KLIA PPL for free as well?

For Alliance Visa Platinum, all the cardholders were entitled for unlimited complimentary stay for lounge up to 3 hours for the PPL Satellite Building, KLIA. However, don't think this privilege extended to KLIA 2, unless announced otherwise.
