Probable causes :

1) Did you disabled mad2sd before you update v1.2?
2) When you update v1.2 did you also re-install Google Apps?
3) After updating, did you install S2E and check the settings in S2E?
4) Data wipe is not necessary.

NOTE : Remove the widgets (not uninstall) and add back the widget again. This is due to change of transferring apps scripts from mad2sd to S2E.

EDIT : You can update your market app. Go back a few posts here (post #2472) and get the latest market app from that link.

do you means batch move app to sdcard (default movetosd function)? or move app to second partition like link2sd or simple2ext? blink.gif
in standard way you can try app2sd free.

Why don't you try the latest CM v.1.2?

Just extract the zip file and look for the apk. You can delete the rest of the files.

It's smooth, faster and more responsive. The battery lasts much longer, GPS locks almost immediately.

Since mad2sd script is removed, you can have the option to use S2E or Link2sd.

Swap partition is not necessary.

Yes, this is important or it'll messes up your data because the new version 1.2 does not have mad2sd script.

I've moved apps to SD card first then disable mad2sd.. After that i flashed to version 1.2.. install S2E then transfer back apps to phone.. So far no problem....

Hello. I believe my g5 is soft bricked. It's stuck at the glowing samsung screen.

Are there anyways to recover from this?

My g5 was on official froyo. I tried use odin to faslh cwm.
This was what i did.
I open odin, press start, then booted in cwm. I was supposed to wipe data. But i pressed shut down. The phone immediately shutdown and odin says pass.
Then, I plug out the cable and the battery, and tried again. This time I press wipe, then press reboot. During the reboot, it's stuck on the glowing samsung screen with odin saying pass. I pull out the cable, and the battery.

And now it's since stuck at the glowing screen everytime i boot it.

What should I do?

Thank you in advance.

I've faced the same problem like you before.. My G5 stuck on samsung screen.. Pull out the battery, still the same... So i flashed back to froyo using odin... then my phone back to normal.. After that i flash back to cyanogen.. (Follow the step from beginning)

Please remember when flashing from froyo to cyanogen.. u need to wipe data..

Were you using .tar or .zip file for flashing CWM? You should use .tar file. The .zip is for those who have CWM installed already.

EDIT : Don't worry, your phone didn't brick.

Solution :

1. Reflash CWM.
