QUOTE(zam_changloon @ Mar 29 2011, 10:22 AM) I'm going to flash to 2.10. I've done mistake while flashing to 2.09 before. I lost all my sdcard data including contact. Hope i't will not happen again. So I'd like to ask fist before flashing. Not flash 1st then ask. 1. backup all your system and app by using titanium backupI really don't understand what u guys talking about.. subskype? ext4 partition? dalvik-cache? fat32? Mind to share what are these term? 2. then copy all your sd content to pc using data cable. 3. open odin and flash as usual. 4. in recovery mode..select wipe data/factory reset.(yes all user) 5. reboot phone. 6. do the partition. if u have done the partition before u don't need to do it anymore( preferred if just used 459 for first and 140 for second partition if ur card below 4G). 7. format ur FAT32 partition using PC or type mkfs.vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 in terminal emulator or using adb . 8. Copy all content of SD that u stored in PC before to ur SD card 9. root again ur phone. 10. install titanium backup, push menu button and select batch and restore all missing app and system with data. 11. reboot ur phone. 12. done |

Done. u just used the boot -img-test6 tar as one package... dont put in at boot.....the flash as usual.....Now, can someone guide me how to flash the compass fix? hi guys...found in xda... how to make own back-up and who have done it hope can share with others
In order to copy the decrypted firmware archive, please : Click Start button and go to Run. In Run field enter : %temp% This will open Explorer in your temorary folder. When you run the software upgrade, KIES will create a temporary file where it will store the encrypted firmware. When the download is done, KIES will inform you that it is decrypting firmware. It will do this in the same folder as stated above. The decrypted zip file with firmware will be stored in a temp folder as something similar like "tmp2B3.tmp.zipfolder. Your telephone will enter download mode. Now you have some 2 precious minutes to copy the firmware .zip archive from the folder above to another safe folder that will not be removed by KIES after update is over. Now you will have a backup of the new firmware and could use it to go back to original froyo for your region everytime after testing some other version of the firmware. Thanks for sharing your firmware with us ! This post has been edited by popeye77: Apr 28 2011, 07:23 AM |
