Ndrive's map is not good. I tested it.
I downloaded the lastest NDrive maps and the latest papago maps from malfreemaps.
Papago got my house. NDrive dont have my house.
I live in quite a "kampung" place.

You can download the maps from http://www.malfreemaps.com/
Search for the papago section and you can download it.

I had just upgraded my g5 to official 2.2 using kies.
Now, it keeps on popping out com.android.phone FC
How do I fix this?
I read that you have to hard reset to fix it but I don't want to do that as I have a lot of things like sms and apps inside.

How do I revert back to the original firmware?

Added on May 7, 2011, 8:39 pmHelp !!! Now I can't use my phone already.
I can only turn on the airport mode for the phone to actually function without the continuous FC.
Starting to regret upgrading.

the truth is. if you flash to another version of rom like 2.1 to 2.2 you need to hard reset. then if you downgrade 2.2 to 2.1, also need hard reset. just backup your things using mybackup root.

Thank you for your reply.

Does mybackup root restores everything to the previous state of the phone after the hard reset?
Since my phone is having those FC, how do I install and run this app properly?

Thank you.

Hello. I believe my g5 is soft bricked. It's stuck at the glowing samsung screen.

Are there anyways to recover from this?

My g5 was on official froyo. I tried use odin to faslh cwm.
This was what i did.
I open odin, press start, then booted in cwm. I was supposed to wipe data. But i pressed shut down. The phone immediately shutdown and odin says pass.
Then, I plug out the cable and the battery, and tried again. This time I press wipe, then press reboot. During the reboot, it's stuck on the glowing samsung screen with odin saying pass. I pull out the cable, and the battery.

And now it's since stuck at the glowing screen everytime i boot it.

What should I do?

Thank you in advance.

Intend to use CM?
Does that means that CM is not the reconmended rom to flash?
I see that the newer posts are about Cm1.2 so I thought it's the latest and should be the best one?

Or am I wrong?

Got CM1.2 working.
Thanks to alexysc!
Do I have to install baseband?
