You are welcome, Vccy.

Set your governors to > powersave , but this may lag when playing games or online skype conversation. So if you don't find it too troublesome, you can set back your governors to > ondemand when you want to play games and reset back to > powersave when on standby mode.

Hotfix2b [19 July]: Framework: increased Dalvik VM heapsize to 24mb (can improve game performance and fix rare force-close problems with Market and other apps). Kernel: smartass scheduler tweak to fix TuneIn Radio distortion during sleep (please set your minimum CPU frequency back to 122Mhz & re-test); moved some kernel modules from ramdisk to /system (reclaims 5mb RAM); disabled loading of RFS modules (reclaims 5mb RAM); fixed lowmemorykiller properties to avoid unnecessary task killing; re-added compcache module. Please make sure you have version "2b", as the original hotfix2 was buggy.

Guys, latest Cyanogen v0.9 hotfix 2b

http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...alaxy5%27-port/

Latest CM v.9.0 + hf2b - Extremely fast and smooth going to perfection (except the usual radio issue).

Tested :
GPS locks less than 3secs, Bluetooth - phone <--> computer working fine, Game Asphalt5 no lag, Video/Youtube/Songs playing smooth, no lag, wifi no issue, Skype conversation - seems much improvement, voice very clear and smooth.

Latest CWM ver. 4.0.1.0 (v.3)

http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...cret-projectgt/

Note : Update to latest CWM first. Then install hotfix2b.

I have reset my Governors > Smartass , ClockSpeed > MinCPU 122MHz , MaxCPU729MHz (remains) and Compcache > Disable

Hi Alex, thx for all your sharing and info rclxms.gif
have you tested video recording? I find that it's much pixelated than before during the Froyo mods. Also when I set the Govenor to Ondemand, I tend to see some flickering on the screen especially in bright lit areas like outdoor and even in my office. When I switch to Powersave, the flicker goes away.

Just tested video recording.... quality as normal like in froyo stock rom. As for the Governor setting for video, I used Smartass just now. But all the while (before hotfix2b), I use Ondemand and I don't experience the flickering as you mention.

Guys, wow, CM7.1 progress fast!

Now hotfix3 is out...

Hotfix3 [19 July]: Boot: improved init/mad2sd scripts to prevent bootloop problem for some users; ensure /system is mounted read-only. Framework: replaced wpa_supplicant & dhcpcd binaries with Samsung versions - fixes all problems with slow/unreliable wifi (re)connection.

http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...alaxy5%27-port/

Edit : Wifi signal is much stronger with this hotfix3. I tested at two particular spots in my house (one at groundfloor and the other upstairs) where formerly I can't get wifi connection and now I can get it. No more "blind wifi spots" in my house anymore!

Just flash the hotfix and then reboot. Done!

Understand this :

1. Flashing roms or hotfixes - will NOT alter your sdcard (your sdcard will be intact. it will also NOT alter your phone settings nor your applications.

2. Data wipe/factory reset - will NOT alter your sdcard. but WILL alter/change your phone settings and applications to phone's factory settings.

3. For Cyanogen Roms, when flashing/upgrade to another version, you need to flash with CWM in this order : i) the Rom ii) hotfix (if there is any) and iii) google apps.

b. This will also NOT alter your sdcard, phone settings nor applications. They will still remain as before because "data wipe/ factory reset is not needed unless it's stated in the changelog.

So relax, just flash the hotfix and reboot.

Just flash ONLY the hotfix3 and reboot.

You only need to flash the three files when you upgrade the rom. e.g. now is v0.9 , and if v.10.0 is out and you upgrade, then only flash the three files.
