Unfortunately the Basic and Extra plans are no longer offered by Hotlink so it will not be possible for you to migrate to either of those plans so as to get Hotlink 365. I'd suggest you use Share-A-Topup to reduce your credits. You can send the extra credit to your friends or relatives using any Hotlink plan.

Hi all, is it possible to turn off data roaming on hotlink? I get charged for receiving stupid free mms from maxis!!
*
set your phone to Manual Retrieval of MMS

then you will get only notification of new MMS (sent using SMS protocol and no charge when roaming)

after that, select Delete instead of Retrieve when each notification comes in

Let's say I subscribe to the RM 10 for 10 days mobile internet. How do I phrase this...Do they charge the data in blocks? E.g. for a particular session, you use only 0.5 MB but it is counted as 1 MB for that session. Or is the MB count 'continuous'?

I've been using the 10 days pass since last Friday.

The usage count from maxis shows a lower value than the data counter on my phone so I believe it is charged on a continuous total rather than blocks. That is normal for passes and subscriptions. It is the pay as you use that is charged in blocks and becomes killer charges.

Do you get the problem of RM1.00 being deducted from your account initially when you connect to internet, and later refunded back to the account after you ended GPRS connection?

I notice whenever I connect to internet, they would charge me RM1.00 (even though I'm on data plan) but sometimes they didn't revert back the RM1.00 to me.

After checking, yes I found sometimes RM1.00 is deducted. So far, it has always added back for me.

I would advise all not to switch your phone off immediately after data session.

HOTLINK PREPAID DATA INTERNET:

2 days 10MB = RM 3
5 days 25MB = RM 5
10 days 75MB = RM 10
1 hours 100MB = RM 2
1 day 500MB = RM 8
1 week 5MB = RM 3
2 weeks 100MB = RM 18
monthly 500MB = RM 68
monthly 1.5GB = RM 88
monthly 3GB = RM 98

i wanna ask u guys. ur opinion. which one above is better for data prepaid ? im not heavy user internet. just used for basic. USED ONLY FOR FB, iMESSAGE AND SKYPE. thats all. NOT SURFING. im try using 2 day 10MB = RM 3 but is not enought for me. bought last nite but already finished today but the exactly date for 10MB is until tomorrow nite. and when i try using 1 day 100MB = RM 8, still got many balance for MB. so how. any advice, any idea guys ??? HELP

10 days 75MB = RM 10

I used this 10-day pass and it suit me fine for light browsing, check email, news, lowyat, msn messenger.

My first pass expired yesterday, Maxis sent an sms one hour before expiry and again at the actual expiry time. This assumes you do not exceed the quota. Otherwise, the pass expires once your usage reached 75MB. My usage came to ~57MB based on Maxis counter. I'm using UC browser on my phone.

Quite satisfed with this service and the price. I'd been using DiGi Prepaid daily or weekly until now, but that was too expensive to use continuously every day, although the quota higher, plus the auto-renewal is really ma fan cos I had to keep cancelling it. There is no auto-renewal with this Maxis pass, you just request another one when you want it.
