Been playing around with the 55VT30 and the 42VT30 and am pretty impressed with it. Black Levels are great. Calibrates very well. 10 point gamma and greyscale take some getting used to.

Pro modes don't go above 30ft/L for now. Will see if the Asian versions are the same.

The one I'm playing with is the UK version.

Also spent some time with the Samsung plasma 55D8000. Also impressive.

Calibration controls are great on both.

Will post more impressions in the couple of days.

Panasonic P55VT30. Where did you get this?
Saw the spec in UK website. Very slim and the panel comes with single piece of glass covering the frame like the Sony NX720.
I'm falling in love with it now. wub.gif

@ anfieldude - great to hear the new VT30 series looks impressive. but i suspect that the asian sets will be a watered down variant .... as with previous years'. i hope i'll be proven wrong though.

FUll HD U series is RM1950 from one of the forummers.

HD ready X series is around RM1600, but I heard that it is very reflective.

what is the best price you get so far?

have seen it in jusco one u and seems that the screen is not as reflective as i thought.

for the price i think is worth it.

some more can pay mkv files.

got resolution enhancing feature (2011 model) which should be helping sd tv (astro) quality become clearer.

Boss, are you in UK now?

Hmm, 30ft/L? Isn't that roughly the same as the Asian V20s?

what's the best deal of P50V20K right now?
or 50" GT (if that's available)

i got cheated by a shop, ordered P50V20K + PWP digi-cam,
both item they sent = used
the plasma got serious burn in w/ Discovery HD logo and top-bottom black bar,
+ running time 850+ hr upon reaching me
then the digi-cam warranty seal broken,  color doesn't match the box, battery hilang...
wtf i right now tiao their store manager and ask for full refund,
then buy from elsewhere
will disclose the shop name once i settle my thing

p/s: not to mentioned their dishonest but they also selling expensive..

Aside from the :
- price difference
- HD (X) vs FullHD (U)
- reflectiveness you mentioned (confirmed?)

is there anything else different between the Pana 2011 X and U series?
