I make it a point not to put my keys in pocket when i go makan at the gerais. If not, the alarm would trigger by itself and everybody will be looking at me..

I put mine in my pants all the time. No issues, so far. My only concern is the button is no longer sensitive, so I have to press firmly in order to make it work.

Speaking of remote and alarm, does the car suppose to have sound when unlocking? Mine lights up but can't really hear the sound unlike other cars.

You can switch the sound on if you like. Read your user manual, press and hold the two buttons, let the lights blink four or five times.

2 days ago in the evening when i got into my car, i started the engine like usual, switch to ON for like 3-5 secs then start the engine. the thing is, the engine kept crankin for like 2-3secs ( its quite long actually ), like failing to start. but eventually the engine started, but i noticed the RPM was jumping. basic idling at P is around 900~1k there right? it was jumping from 900 to 1.3k, 1.3k to 900, repeatedly. it didnt go away, my mom unaware of the situation went n switch on the aircond, then the kompressor kicked in, then rpm was stable already. anyone encountered this problem before?

About 1 week difference only lar .. yeah mine is 12K - 13K as well.

The difficulty to start, I think a few of us have experienced before. Just make sure you let the engine idle awhile before you switch off the engine and make sure you wait for a few seconds in "ON" position before you start the engine.

As for the funny revs, yeah i get that too. For me, it happens when the engine cold. After warm up it stabilizes.

mine also like 2-3 time per month, when turn for 2-3 sec or more cannot start.
have to off then retry 2-5 times. then can.
sometime morning, i thought cold, but afternoon hot also can happen.

Just got me car back from 20k Service and I am 450 bucks poorer....LOL! Labour at the SC here is crazy....haih....but it's near to my work place so no choice....

BTW, would like to ask if anyone is having a problem with Driver's side door? It has a kind of 'Tork' sound when i'm going over uneven road/speed bumps. It's something like the door's gonna open/the rubber contact with the frame ain't tight....

Done my first 1000km service today. experience BAD.

Went to Desa Tun Razak Proton Edar SC with booking made at 10am. Told them to take a look at the door cause got obvious engine sound. Till 12+ still car not touched, so asked them why so long.... since I saw ppl coming for service that morning is no more than 5 ppl. They say cause I logged a complain hav to wait for the queue. That queue is actually all backlogged cars in the SC.

Then told them forget about the door and juz do the service. Then the staff gal told me can work on my car at 1..... then she add, but staff makan time is 1 to 2pm. F*ck, so I have to wait till 2 for ur mechanics to start?!?! Habis service pukul berapa?

Then I leave on spot, leaving the girl staff apologetic. I din't blast her, she's juz working. So I leave to contracted SC by Edar. Kautim everything in less than 30 minutes on spot. This workshop din even recommend me use magnatech.

if minor service at SC..they will change 3 things
1. oil
2. oil filter
3. gasket plug - oil drain
want to ask..if service outside...only need to change oil and oil filter??
and what is the gasket plug?

'Penutup' of your oil pan...like 'penutup' of bottle.

This one actually no need to change everytime, waste money only, mine service outside since now the same nut for 15k km adi...

but last time i service outside...i follow the receipt...even the guy also scratch head saying what is gasket plug...lol

Everytime u didn't see them how to drain oil ka? They need to open the drain nut before the oil can drain out, that's the nut = gasket plug.

If service at outside, you can go Proton SC to buy oil filter, oil filter outside is little expensive than SC one, but little only la.

so expensive?? i tot it was RM30..

guys, wanna ask sumthing.... when im driving 90++ my car got wind leaking sound at left side of car... do u guys have any idea where is the sound come from? my car got 670km+ mileage already in one week....

Wind noise is normal for kosong car, dun worry. Go to change your flat rubber to soundproof rubber will do.

do you have window visors on yr car? bcz mine (with visors) have little wind noise while cruising on highway, one of my friend told me if take out the visors then the wind noise will reduce, dont know how true is it


@coolkwc : how much does it cost to change all 4 door to soundproof rubber?
