@xshiro bro may i know what is pdt tuning?
*
I have similar problem with u but mine happen randomly, sometime during cold start sometime go downhill when u leave yr foot from the pedal then the rpm needle will go up and down. May I know where can I do this pdt tuning thinggy?any recommended SC can do it or need to in tuning shop outside ?

Besides this I have one more issue sad.gif this happen after my 1k service at YES SC in puchong, after the service I found out the driver side tyre got weird sound. Basically when i drive in a straight road and go through hump or small hole, the sound is normal (solid-quiet-absorb type) but when I turn the steering towards right side and at the same time go through hump or small hole or even uneven road, there is some weird plastic knocking sound ( sound like something just drop off and hanging or flapping underneath) cry.gif I send my car to YES SC last week but when the technician drove my car he said it is some power steering issue whereby they insert a "bullet" in the pipe which claim to be power steering fluid? The problem still persist and I dont plan to bring back to that SC bcz they keep on insist that the problem is with the power steering fluid. why power steering can be related to tyre/suspension/absorber problem ???

sorry for my broken English but really your helps here.

Thanks in advance.

hi guys can i know the new blm fl fc for auto is how many liter/100KM

i hear they have improve the gear ratio dont know how true is true..
*
mine was around 17 to 18 cent per little..sometime stuck in terrible jam then up to 19 cents.
but if usual driving 80% city 20% highway then around 11km per little..

gear ratio i think there is abit diff compare with previous blm, i drove b4 previous blm which rpm around 3.6-3.8k around 120km/h
but the fl is around 3.4k at 120km/h.

Bros out there, correct me if my info is wrong.

old generation blm with manual trasnmission is 4k @120km/h
*
my blm fl is auto transmission, well I drove it around 120km/h at 3.4k rpm but last time when I drove my friend's blm auto, it hit around ~3.8k at 120km/h.

@MR_alien

if that is the case, next time I will make sure my car engine is warm up enough to travel at high speed nod.gif

@coolkwc

I had gone through the user manual guide and also believe that there is no other changes (besides exterior) comparing previous blm and fl but I am quite sure when I drove my friend blm on MEX, the rpm needle is higher than my current fl which doing same speed at 120km/h. Hmm maybe I shall ask my friend whether he did some modification on his car or not, or maybe it is due to the car engine (not really warm up) according to MR_alien.
All this just from my personal experience, but I hv no knowledge about the car technical stuff blush.gif

no need to wait la
the car need around 5-7KM before it warms up...after it warms up...u can see the RPM needle drops while speed is same
if u notice...when u just start your car at the morning....gear changes are pretty sluggish...need like 2.4kRPM before the gear would change
normally is just 2-2.2K RPM....
*
totally agree with you, every time when I start in the morning and drive...1st gear always pull until quite high rpm then only change to 2nd gear but after a few km of driving then the gear changing is better =)

anyway i just drove my car just now in highway , 120km/h rpm hit slightly above 3.4k smile.gif

my car the weird problem still persist..went to 2 sc in a day to rectify the problem but when the mechanic drove my car,the sound just gone..maybe they drive too fast ba >< bcz as I notice the sound only appear when i go like 20 -35km/h. Can I drive the car while the proton guy sit next to me??bcz those mechanic really 'tekan' my car only and when I told them to go slow as the weird sound only appear at low speed, they just ignore == (we nearly meet an accident when the sc guy is behind the wheel) :'(

I have ask the guy about the rpm going up and down when i left my foot away from the accelerator and the guy told me it is normal bcz saga engine using "run by wire" type, so it is like that. Really ??

at the end 2 problem still not solve and I am back to square one =(
Help!!

jerrymouse, smokey is right. You gotta adapt your timing of the accelerator and clutch, because of the drive by wire delay. There's a half second delay for everything with the accelerator.

Anyways, I sent my car for service the other day, and I have to say they did some "engine tuning" and the delay still there, but not so obvious anymore. Others have tried getting a throttle controller, but those don't come cheap.
hi smokey & Newbie, my car is FL Auto..I asked the guy to check on the rpm setting or PDT but he say "engine campro memang macam ini, RPM dia tak tentu, akan naik and turun sebab engine guna drive by wire and he said it is normal". As from your statement guys, it this abnormal for my car which is Auto transmission??

I think Smokey and Newbie misunderstood ur 'up and down' issue.

Yes, at least normal for me.

The symptom is like this:

If i free gear and let the car free gear to cruise on long distance, the RPM needle will go up and down from 900-1100rpm (sometimes even higher) even i didn't press pedal at all. As long as it move and free gear, the RPM won't stay static, which i also feel weird.

My guess is during let go pedal, the engine run on lean mode, and O2 sensor try to feed back to inject some fuel, thats why RPM up and down.

It doesn't matter dude, no harm at all, dun bother to fix it. hope can clear ur doubts.
*
hi coolkwc, thanks for sharing =) actually I was curious about this problem bcz I have drove a lot of auto car b4 (vios, avanza, city, myvi etc ) but never encounter such issue. Since this is consider normal for my car and most important it doesnt harm my car then I think I will just leave it la. Thanks for clearing my doubts.

One problem solved rclxms.gif Now time to solve my car weird sound which come from right side tyre...hmmmm

do you have window visors on yr car? bcz mine (with visors) have little wind noise while cruising on highway, one of my friend told me if take out the visors then the wind noise will reduce, dont know how true is it hmm.gif

@coolkwc : how much does it cost to change all 4 door to soundproof rubber?

thanks for the link bro =) one more question tongue.gif what is the diff between the Universal and OEM rubber ya? price diff is RM40, is it the material quality? do you have any personal experience with both type of rubber?

@k_eyezax : I didnt take out the visors though, my situation is same like yrs (visors still new) so dont wanna take out first haha..I personally like to have visors in my car hehe so the little wind noise maybe I will overcome it with the soundproof rubber which coolkwc recommended previously.

just completed my 5000km service, did normal services plus tyre balancing and allignment (advised by SC), later on found a nail on my left rear wheel which caused the tyre pressure to be lower than the rest..after servicing total is RM176.
I look at the receipt it stated tyre balancing and allignment cost RM25 and RM27 each plus 'tampal' RM5 for the rear wheel tyre, the rest like engine oil is standard. So now my question is does both allignment and balancing cost so much which is around RM50 ?? bcz it took them lest than 15 minutes to complete the task and I am just curious... hmm.gif

so far I went to Puchong SC (YES carcare) to do my 1k,5k service. They only use Petronas oil. However i dont know what brand of oil other SC use bcz I just call them and ask whether they allow us to bring our own oil.

I use ENEOS on my old iswara 1.3cc and I find out it is quite good, engine smoother and wont jerk so often. SO just thinking of using ENEOS on my FL too if possible.

just changed my abs to sapura proride this morning
just now that tested it abit...not bad
the previous swiveling is gone..now it's very stable...100KM/H+ on uneven still stable
although harder than the stock one...it is pretty good...it's absorbing pretty good
installed and done alignment at the same shop...recommended by someone..say their alignment is legendary
suprisingly...it's true...now my alignment is straight as an arrow...only abit to the left when on uneven road only
they adjusted the alignment from the side...they remove the tyres and adjust there....not at the bottom only
their adjusting alignment method is quiet different than other shop...definitely going back if have alignment problem
*
MR_alien, where is the legendary shop for alignment tuning? bcz my car swift to left by itself when i drive on a straight road in MEX highway sad.gif can this problem be fixed by aligning ?
