I am facing this problem too. I am some where in klang but it shows my location at negeri sembilan

have the satelite being locked?i dont face such problem,as long as the satelite is locked.if the satelite is not locked,then it may show last location detected by papago.check whether there is symbol of satellite with question mark on the upper right end of the screen.if it is there,means ur location has not been locked yet

flashed to the newest xxkpe gb rom,

flashed twice as stated in xda to make sure everything works and indeed, everything works fine until i decided to end a call just now, then suddenly my phone hang..couldnt end the call.. and the notification bar just stayed green and the phone showed me no network available..i need to restart the phone..
i thought this is the best gb until i came across this within 24 hours of using it.. i getting tired of flashing unofficial problematic ROM..

the symbol of satellite with question mark still appear after waiting for 30 min.... so how to lock the satellite????? now im in bangsar..... but it doesnt detect my current location....

I use gps test app from android market to detect satellite.wait until it shows satellite in use not 0 and gps on sign become green from yellow.then just go to home and on papago.then papago may locked the satellite.so far it works for me

yup.. same with me.. sometimes my phone cannot open the log after misscall shown on.. many application always force close.. ram also too high..
plaining flash back to froyo and waiting official gingerbread from samsung..

XXKB3 froyo is the best rom i have used...its best to use this till a more stable build comes off...can't imagine why are the asian roms so buggy compared to the european ones for froyo...

walla...fast satellites lock & better range accuracy.

sometimes i feel strange why u guys want to use custom ROM. the ori 2.2 OS installed in the SL is already OK.

i used to think like you but started my adventure for custom ROM after getting frustrated with ori OS have gps fix problem

as long the custom ROM does not do this: "fix 1 issue but another 2 issues pop up"

Just a word on GPS, using the stock 2.2.1 I have also managed to get quick locks before.

Beware the promises of 10s lock etc with xyz fw, unless there is proper documentation and repeatability. I see a lot of quick fixes that are not proven with a wiped GPS status ie. start from 0.

In most cases they are starting from (unintended) hot start / hot fix which is usually from so many times or trying to get a lock.

Hi guys. Am planning to buy a SGSL this weekend. Will try SenHeng first but heard that there may be no more stock for this model. If that's the case, will try Low Yat Plaza. Any recommendation on which store to go to?

If buying from Low Yat, should be able to get <=RM1200 (original) right? How's the warranty like? Only 1 year (Samsung) or can get additional warranty like SenHeng?

i think yes..because this phone only released in a few countries around the world..for custom rom we should wait until official GB release by samsung..because right now i believed, i9003's devs is waiting for the stable fw to proceed
