hi all, i'm new to this forum..galaxy sl rocks! already used about 1 month..fw xxkb3, root, deodexed, cmw, gb theme..waiting for official gb release =)

as far as i know..there is no custom rom yet for galaxy sl..not until official gb release..u can check thread on xda, [I9003] [ROM] UltimateSL v.1 - First Custom Rom for I9003

lets pray for faster gb released by samsung (samfirmware says sept in twitter)..serious lag huh? which fw did u use?

new hope..maybe we can expecting gb in mid august.. =) check this samfirmware latest tweets: "First we want nice specials for US than for WP than bada after this Android aka I9003 I9000 I9100" - "MID August new hot Android roms. But our focus is now US."

Mine using fw GB I9003 XXKPE, performance is far better than froyo and rockstable, already rooted but its not official version yet

Juz tested the probs, yes camera seems lil bit lag after 2 snap but still acceptable, n camera switch works perfect :-) hopes there will be small fixes in next official sammy release

Firmware I9003 XXKPE is not official yet..coz it only leaked by Samfirmware and flashed using ODIN..btw if official release from Samsung, it will be available through KIES..and we also can expect the several leaks in incoming days as mentioned by Samfirmware on Twitter..but the official GB one expected in September..XXKPE is far better from XXKP9 (less major bugs, battery improvement, wifi-camera working) and maybe it juz a single step from official one. hooray!

I'm not encourage anyone to flash xxkpe,yes its not official too but fyi this fw is truly near perfect..btw i'm too have several issues with kernel panic but its very rare actually most noticeable fixes in xxkpe is faster gps lock, slightly battery improve,fast phone reaction,extra ram(now 487mb), some game play more smoothly, various format video play(still have mkv issue), enhanced sound n etc. Just check xda forum for more info ok..for updating fw through kies when official release, i think we should wait more time because samsung update fw according to region..first maybe europe, asia n so on..

now I'm using for almost 3 days, stable n the good news is no SOD yet :-)

unfortunately there is no universal cwm for i9003 model ..it base on fw type
so which fw do u use?

for those who are waiting to update fw through kies, take care maybe the update is not far2 away
latest samfirmware tweets "Lots of Android Gingerbread updates this month"
sounds tricky is it? hehe i think this gb mass update should including sgsl too, lets wait n see
if the fw is official, time to grab ur kies or anything else, please use odin (make sure to update latest kies)..so happy kiessing =)

p/s:personally i dont like kies, if not about the driver, who cares about it

i think yes..because this phone only released in a few countries around the world..for custom rom we should wait until official GB release by samsung..because right now i believed, i9003's devs is waiting for the stable fw to proceed

here we go..now there are several custom roms available at XDA forum..based on Froyo and also GB(coming soon)..also will get official GB from sammy at the end of this month..so guys, lets get your phone ready!

i also had flashed to xxkph..never get any problems so far..but if u want to flash it from the one 'asian firmware' u use it right now, consider clean flashing to xxkpe first and then select xxkph file as only pda in odin..btw if u want clear info, better check on xda

Juz searching market enabler apps from the market n u're good to go. Run the app n select provider lists( prefer us verizon).long press on it n choose option fake this provider now.then try updating apps via market.one thing, u phone must root before use
