Sometimes you can, and sometimes not. As I first read about their review before buying my SGS, they didn't mention at all about lagginess. Well, maybe the lag that we experienced does not looks like a lag to them (hmm... are they slow poke or what......lol)

Anyway, the current gingerbread ROM is just a beta version, right?
Is it custom or original ROM from Samsung?
I heard that there is no lagfix or kernel for gingerbread as yet, is it true? Or we don't actually need one anymore?

IMO, somtimes I feel that beta version could be smooth than the final release. May be they change some coding or what in their final release which may or may not lead to lagginess or bugs. Not sure if you all guys agree with me or have encounter this before?

Last but not least, if my PapagoX5 can't detect my GPS location at all (may be after 5 -10 mins). Do you think I can send in to Samsung service centre to claim that the GPS is faulty? Has anyone tried doing that before?

Nitr8 made one too. You guys can flash gingerbread rom. But I'm sure you all will go back to froyo after testing it.

I think it is a unified place where all of your downloads will go. Let's say that you have a download from stock browser and another one from xscope. Those two downloads from different browsers will go to this app for you to access.


I noticed that. But the method remains the same (deleting those three files). I will test that cwm zip file. If it doesn't work, I'll find one that does or I'll just make one.

In the mean time, you can use command kung-fu to unroot. I've posted it in a few threads before.

Added on March 2, 2011, 3:58 pm1. It is a leaked firmware. Legitimate one but IMO, an alpha quality, not beta. Few members here tested and gave quick reviews.
2. I am using simple galaxy rom. So far liking it because of beautiful honeycomb theme.
3. Temporarily I hope. Things will change when we get gingerbread sources from Samsung because this will speed up CM7 and Miui

im hoping they will not stop the miui port as well as the cyanogen mod. i've been waiting like since last year for both and if suddenly stop, memang confirm bloody disappointed la terus. haha
