Think the reviewer's mindset is that Super Clear LCD is power hungry.

Read that the GB is still on RFS.

I wonder if we can buy the SGSL's bigger capacity battery and use in our SGS?
*
RFS?? What the... ? Isn't Nexus S' GB already on EXT4? I thought this hacked ROM was based on official GB? sad.gif

Reviewer stated that the battery fits into SGS9k. It would be a good idea to have that extra 150mah. biggrin.gif

Yes, I agree. Darky 8 is very smooth. But Darky screwed up later on. I've had experience only with doc and darky. I start with Darky. But then after v 9 I changed to Doc due to lag, and other problems. Namely attitude problem of the rom maker himself and some of his supporters. the dark nature of it was what making me lose my interest.

I have tried to switched to doc rom after darky v8.0.
but later on switched back to darky from 9.0 to 9.2 because I still finds doc has got some small issues like FC.
the FC issue isn't as frequent as doc.
I did clean install on both version though.
not sure what caused the issues.

Hi Ken-san, how are you lately?

I'm using same ROM as you JS5 latest with K12C kernel. But i feel abit lag, though just a very very very minimal lag. tongue.gif But one thing is good, i can set lock screen wallpaper, no FC. I think i generate ROM with stock theme, all original themes and icon, very boring lar....sigh blush.gif

Which theme is better? I not dare to flash to JV1 yet. Have you?

haha, gmhafiz will be very busy...caught in the storm of Gingerbread...
And I'm sure all SGS users must be excited....

Hopefully, they will release the XWJV1 source soon so that we can have MIUI...

Go go go....
*
Wow, I'm super excited! Please guys, lremeber to make a backup of your /efs folder! We don't want a corrupted IMEI number like what happened last time in xda when flashing one of the earlier leaked froyo rom.

Better be safe than sorry. Instruction in first page.

QUOTE(ken2291 @ Mar 1 2011, 07:48 AM)
SGS rocks!!! pity some users who never bother about tech thing, sure never know about gingerbread or android tongue.gif

oh ya, samsung removed the screen off animation in gingerbread. for those who want it, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...7&postcount=461

P/S: we still nid Supercurio and Hardcore's work in Gingerbread tongue.gif
*
Shutdown animation is possible in froyo. Some custom rom have it included hy default.

QUOTE(la pulga @ Mar 1 2011, 08:57 AM)
looks like reboot phone using ZIP file from sd card is not successful  sad.gif
the message appear as follows;

installing: sdcard: update.zip
finding update package...
opening update package...
E:can't open /mnt/sdcard/update.zip
(no such file or directory)
installation aborted

means froyo flashing time  sweat.gif
*
Sorry it didn't work out. I assume you are on Dxjg4. If you still want to recover, someone please send me the zimage file so that I can make cwm package for him.

Otherwise, you can flash froyo using the instructions in that hardcore speedmod blogspot.

I know doc is a real pro but i didn't like darkyy as a person. Although I never downloaded any of darkyy's rom, I still recommend it to newbies because instructions to flash it is
newbie friendly.

No doubt cyanogenmod rocks! I have high hopes for MIUI too.

Ok let's keep politics aside and enjoy being a Guinea pig to the leaked gingerbread rom. Send your useful feedbacks to xda developers forum and here too ok!
