I have a brand new Merkur 34C for sale. RM150 including a pack of 20 various blades and shaving soap to get you started and free shipping for parcels below RM10.
Made in Germany, this is voted as being the best overall safety razor.
Those interested, please send a message or call me at 0182804077.

Hello guys,

I was a wet shaver for 2 years and find it extremely frustrated with the trouble of having to look for shaving products overseas. Now I took it upon myself to bringing in old school shaving products to make this shaving culture a norm.

My store can be found in Shopee and Lazada but currently most of the stuff are available through shopee. Link at Shopee Link

We now stock Proraso, Cella , Haslinger for shaving soaps
Fatip,Parker,TGS,Razorock for shaving Razor, Rockwell is on the way.
Omega brush are on the way.
Also have various razor blades to choose from, my favourite being the wilkinson sword from Germany.

Really love to hear you guys shaving experience!

Just received this earlier this week. Ming Shi with stand from Aliexpress that I bought on 11.11 for USD9.87.

Read up on a few different ways to use an adjustable, in the end I'm just sticking to the mildest setting. It takes a lot more passes, but I can get a smooth shave with no skin irritation at all. Zero.

The end result is almost as smooth as my shavette, close enough that probably only I can tell the difference.

Will use it on those mornings when I'm too brain-dead to operate my shavette properly.  biggrin.gif

So this happened after a few years.

I'm wondering if the sifus here can enlighten me, is this because it's a cheap copy, or because I didn't wipe dry after every use?

Maybe it's made of copper and it started rusting.

Congratulations, you have a patinated razor now lol.

Lol a touch of wabi-sabi eh?

I doubt it is copper or brass though. Even the original Merkur is just die cast zinc and I believe copper and brass are more expensive.

I'm no metallurgist but I don't know of any other metals that patinate green.

You never know the magic of China... They can sell expensive things at insanely low prices. Who knows, they might have mixed a little bit of copper into their zamak?

Looks like there's some brown rust too?

Entirely possible.

The brown is on the blade edge? Probably coz I use my blades way longer than most people recommend. Something like 2 months or more.

Aren't you worried the rust will get into your bloodstream if you cut yourself?

I probably should be...

But the GSB is so mild, combined with the mildest setting on the Futur clone, I've yet to cut myself with it.

Different. I don’t remember if I have tried it before though. I bought a tester pack of various blades many many years ago and that's when I fell in love with the GSB.

Anyway, I did a search and found this:

Nice find.

Hmm GSB very expensive. I'll KIV.

A lot of people in the thread also said Gillette 7OC Super Platinum are good. But also expensive.

If I ever order from Connaught, I'll grab the Russian Nacets too. The made in China Super Nacet didn't impress me.
