I called them(Penang number: 04 6192569) and ask how could I make COD payment. There's a girl said I have to make the arrangement via their contact us form on their website and they will reply me within an hour.

I waited a day and they still have no reply. So I email the sales email address and enquire about it. They told me this
"COD accepted within Klang Valley/Sunway/PJ and Bayan Baru /

I didn't call them up because, firstly, I know three days after Thursday is Labour Day(Sunday) and the next day is public holiday. Secondly, if it's a well maintained big company, why are they telling me the different way to make COD arrangement?

Wow, u actually tried to call. Not bad. This sales agent from I-citymall.com claim that they have obtained my personal information from mcmc and will file a lawsuit towards me.
She also PMed me explaining regarding the iPhone sales that I enquired about. She say their stock was shipped from Canada and that they will provide after sales service to claim warranty. And the new stock they are selling is from maxis.
But no explanation was provided regarding why the MacBook normal retail price that they show in the webpage is actually much higher than the normal retail price in any apple reseller in Malaysia.

No. there's no credit card option for that. Well, you can just ignore what ever law suit things because they did pm it to me too. My friend told me it's not the reseller agent to speak about law things to you.
Overall, the website is very professional and very convincing, but if we think twice and look carefully, their website is very doubtful. Check their review, google about it and do some thinking, you will feel that this website is a little.. hehe..

Do not send money via Bank to Bank transfer! Most scammers will want you to transfer money to a bank account which is in the name of a totally unrelated individual or entity than who they claim to be or claim to represent. There are persons and companies who let scammers use their bank accounts for the deposit of funds gained through scams in exchange for a cut of the money. Bank transfers are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to reverse because the bank's position will be that you authorized the transfer even if that authorization was based on fraud! Anyone can register with SSM. I can register with SSM using ABC Company, saying I'm a eRetailer, but infact I could be doing Sundry kedai runcit. SSM don't investigate. I can register ABC and open a bank account, and later after the SSM registration has expired, I can still continue to use the bank account. SSM is just a place to register "stuff".

Price is cheap NOT FOR ALL, it basically for display units only (demo set), advertised by iCity's partners for clearance purpose.

Hello,,don't tell me you are referring to Apple's website to compare the price? It's up to the seller to decide how much is their profit margin depending on the quantity of supply ability. There are many websites offering competitive pricing too, some are too low and some are ridiculously high. If a seller sell it expensive, buyer pay more, VISE VERSA. Of course, every sellers knows best every Bolts and Nuts of the whole pricing before deciding to release their item. For some sellers are profit oriented while some others are customer service oriented. If you sell product A at RM10, doesn't mean other seller must sell it at RM10 too. (Now please don't tell me you family sell Apple products)

And regarding the eBay & Amazon affiliate program, program organized by Amazon and eBay where 3rd party merchants will benefit 3%-26% commission from advertising products sold by the sellers. Instead of selling it, we actually buy the products from overseas and repack the item for local market. For sure, you are all in the eye of retail-ends. (You probably buy product at high retail price and never heard of bulk purchase commission)

Sigh....I saw this post earlier and back then nobody was replying to this thread. I also saw the SSM register, but the funny thing is everything on the website is all image with links. I think I could have been cheated. I've actually made a purchase of iPad 64Gb+3G from this site in mid of march. It was priced rather cheap at RM1280 as it is a display set. I've made my payment via bank transfer and waiting eagerly for my iPad.

After waited for a few weeks, they informed me that the iPad has been sold out to another person, so what they could do was to replace my purchase with an iPad2 32Gb+3G. Because I was still hoping to get an iPad with 3G, I told them ok. Again, I waited for weeks, I've been communicating to them like on a weekly basis, but again and again my purchase was delayed. Until iPad 2 was launched in MY in May.

I've checked with them again and they told me the item is stucked at custom for clearance and all. After a few more waits, I told them I would like to cancel my purchase and ask for a refund, throughout their email communication with me, they did mentioned that they are sorry for the delay and would compensate me with a free iPad 2 cover and after a few more delays they told me that they will compensate me with some monetary as well if i would like to cancel and get a refund. I eventually asked for a refund as the delay is week after week. They told me that could be done and asked me for all the details including the earlier online bank transfer proof of payment which I also sent back to them for the refund. And now, even the refund, they told me they need 3~5 working days. Given them 5 maximum working days, I still do not see any refund in my account. I've again checked with them and told them I would consider reporting this as a scam to the authority if I still do not get my refund, and they replied to me telling me that please proceed if they have cause me any financial loss on my side and they take this full responsibility in the highest extend of law. I've tried contacting them again regarding my refund and today they told me that they will refund me latest by next Tuesday. I just hope that I could get my refund back and swear to be more careful when doing any online purchase. It could be me that is unlucky to deal with this or there could be someone out there who has got the same fate as me.

And the office in Penang is only the secretarial office. The business is actually in KL (which I also dont quite understand what they mean by this) >.<

Today I've got an sms saying that someone told the person from i-city mall that I wrote a complaint here at LYN. But what I am doing is merely sharing my own experience. The person is even asking me why I felt cheated. It has been 1 week to 3 months waiting for my purchase. Of course, I also mentioned that the person from this company is responsive to my emails from time to time. Though sometimes a delay of a day or two. But for 3 months and even when asking for a refund, this has been delayed again and again. I've read in the other site that the person-in-charge in this company mentioned that all refund will be handled within 72 hours (I only found out about this yesterday night).

I've requested for my refund and they told me 3~5 working days. Fair enough time for them to check and clarify on the transfer and as well refund me back. But after waited for 5 full working days, no updates from them and I have to again asked them for a status. When I mentioned in my reply to get them to take this seriously and I might report this as a fraud, they told me sure to go ahead and they will take this in highest extend of law. I did not make this story up as this is my experience purchasing from this site.

When I called after 5 working days, the person told me she was busy and just came back from outside doing some other refund to other customers and my refund request got to her only after she was out handling the earlier batch. Then, next, the person email me telling me there is a limit of 5k transfer via online with bank. I do understood this fully. But then again, I was thinking, why need WORKING DYAS if you are telling me the transfer would be done online? and what happened when I was told she just got back from outside doing some other refund transfer??

I mean after all the communication and asking them to honour their words, again and again I am being delayed. For 3 good months and they can't prioritise the refund or even delivery of the product of an unsatisfied customer? They did mentioned when I asked for refund that they could send me the product if it is available from port klang within the refund period promised. They said they missed to send me my purchase in their first batch of stock arrived? How am I not feeling upset? A purchase for 2+ months could not be treated with higher priority? What about the same day (local) and next day delivery promised on the website?

OK, I'm sure some of you heard of small claims court. I believe someone's parents are lawyers so please advice if my sharing is not entirely right.

Go to small claims court, take a form, pay RM10, fill in and submit. Prepare all your details and claims. Highlight those that matters, in your case go according to time sequence. This is why school presentation is important, because you really need to organize everything according to your benefit and present to the court.

With small claims court, you would have to do everything yourself, unless you want to engage a lawyer. Prepare your case, present the subpoena yourself, even prepare the subpoena yourself, and all other documents all by yourself. But it is a great learning experience. I am just sadden by the fact that many lawyers have eyes only for money. No money means no talk. Not even a bit of advice. They feel so strong about these things, even very rich ones with high status. When they need IT advice, they come and hope to get things for free!! (Just my rumbling about lawyers)

Anyway, back to topic. Even if you win at small claims court, there is still enforcement part. If you can find the person, then he has to pay or otherwise you can get the law to go after him. If he is not to be found, then the situation becomes difficult.

Usually, conman would have prepared the "back down" or "escape" route. So you need to understand their entire plan, then only take your move and have all of them captured.

I had a malay who is a pro con artist. Everything he and his wife does are truly like Gloden Globe award winners. Now, they are not to be found, and I have no choice of doing anything. So don't "hit grass scare snake".

Hi Lexus150, I'm facing exactly the same issue as you.
I placed my item back in April, and May, they told me that prioritize the first batch shipment to others and not me. After that 2nd batch, keep saying got issue at custom, keep delaying and proposed me to take a refund. I accept the refund, but it drag like 2 weeks until today I still not even receive any refund. At first, they saying by Tuesday 7-June, after that drag until 10-June, and 10-June, when ask for status update, saying already done with e-transaction, when I ask for the transaction number, promised will send email to me, but until now, none! Luckily I kept all single email from the day I purchase and all the communication with the company, the transaction documents, even the SMS from the company in my backup. If Monday I still don't see the money in, I may want to lodge a police report on Monday next week. When is your dateline Lexus150? We may want to file the report together.

I will still compiling & printing the history of email, bank transaction, SMS etc today, in case I don't see the amount reflected into my bank account my Monday or Latest by Tuesday. Then my print out will be helpful for my report.

What kind of transaction? If it's a maybank2u online transfer then the amount should be reflected in ur account. U can check under 'today's transaction'. If it's cheque bank in then it'll take 3 working days.

Actually, in my understanding of law, if anyone of you write things here without the intention to bad mouth any company, then it is difficult to sue you in court, especially if the company is a seller. As a seller, these are opportunities to arise as a responsible company, and to make clear of what is not. If the seller wish to sue the writer as of what is written so far, from what I see, then by all means go ahead. I have 100% confident that the court will find the company who is the one having ill intention.

yeah 3rd party bank transaction. The problem is the company did the transaction on Friday after 12 noon.
Thus, I think it will be reflected in to my account by Monday only.

They told me the deadline for them to bank in to me is on tomorrow 12:30pm. I think if it's bank transfer to another bank (GIRO transfer), it will normally take 1 working day or maybe the next working day if transfer is done afternoon on that day. You should be able to see the record in your bank statement history, be it online or bring your bank book to the bank for update.

So have you checked in your account? Is the money refunded fully back to you with compensation included as promised? I hope you have settled yours and I will get my settled soon.

interbank transfer usually takes 1 business day only.

if maybank to others before 12noon, the amount will be reflected within the day.

but if after 12noon, the amount will be reflected on next business day

dunno bout other's bank

(maybank to maybank will be reflected instantly)

Now we have 3 cases with the exact same problem just within Lowyat forum, i wonder how many more there are out there.

I have not receive any single refund from i-citymall.
This morning Mrs Corina called me saying that the refund shall take 5 to 7 working days, because the account was Standard Chartered Singapore.
So, from Singapore to Malaysia Local Bank, will take 5 to 7 days. The last deadline is Friday 17 June after 12.30pm.
I lost my toleration already. By Friday 12.30pm still can't get it, I will straight lodge the police report and also to the consumer society.
THIS THE FINAL DEADLINE FOR MYSELF AND ALSO FOR I-CITYMALL!

How come?

The lady just sms told me she already done the e-transfer to me and said will be sending me the transfer ref id. But until now I have not got any relevant email. I will check and wait until tomorrow. Ok. if it's for overseas bank, mayb will take 5~7 days. Wooncc, if you know any1 working in the bank (SCB sg), i think high chances you are still able to track. They havent tell me which bank they are using, just told me transfered and will send the transfer receipt to me.

I don't have any friend who work there.
Any of your friend able to help?

huhh, seems that we are having the same probs. i was told that she has done e banking transfer yesterday, but i haven't received any email containing the proof of transaction. do let me know as well, if u received the money already ya.

bro, one advice from me, better be careful. I used to get cheated once like this. i pay money by bank in transfer, then they told me they didnt get the money. after that i want to refund my money back, they dont want to give and when i want to report to the police, they want to file lawsuit la, call the police la because i was threatening them at that time and so on, but in the end, nothing happen and i rugi nearly rm1200 for buying cheap iPhone from the seller. nowdays scammers are PRO, you know.

if you really want, better COD by yourself and if they ask too much from you, better lodge a police report first lah because they're the one who threaten you first with a lawsuit.

i buy it from the local website (apparently they closed the website already), claiming they're legit Apple seller, can only do payment via bank in transfer, and yeap the price is just too good to be true! and when i already do the payment, which is rm1300 at that time, they said i have to pay for another rm700 because of the custom and international shipping ( they claimed that they got their iphones from US and got so many trouble when trying to bring back to malaysia.) then i start to feel something going wrong here, and when i ask them for a full refund, they dont want to pay and instead, i'm the one who have to pay cause my order is the one who caused the trouble with the customs. after that, the same story goes like you guys, wanna report police then they want to file lawsuit for me la, and so on. a friendly reminder, NEVER TRUST THEM when they said they need your IC Number, address like that. they just want to use all the information against you back. and hell yeah, i EVEN GOT THEIR PASSPORT, PICTURES as a proofs, but in the end, i can't do anything because the police said it was too late and it's hard to find them anyways. so i just let it slip away like that and learned my 'harsh' lessons about buying online.

after reading the whole post just now, i think you guys punya situation with mine is just the same, and waddafak, the seller also provide me the wrong address you know! and i'm getting pissed because you guys seems kena juga, seriously it's bullsh*t ! for those who got chances to meet up with them or know their places, better go and ask. don't just keep waiting, and probably it's the best if you let the police know about this too. the only advantage you guys got over me is you're still keep in touch with them, they still layan2 you guys, but mine just disappear like that. act fast guys!

and yeah, geopchai, i think you make a right decision to open this thread, dont worry lah about the lawsuit, they just play games on you. but surely if i was cheated by this company, surely i'll make them eat my knuckle fist when i meet them. lol

tomorrow is deadline for the refund .. anyway i just feel they are trying to delay the whole thing.

Personal experience, don't ever buy from this website, whether it's scam or not.
It did not deliver whatever is promised.
I have yet to get my refund since I made the payment on 09 June.

All sorts of excuses from them.
Even the interbank transfer screenshot provided by them is only for show.
Can you believe that? They can actually email you the screenshot without the real transfer??

Always delay delay and delay.
I have yet to receive my refund.
Will I get it? *Sigh*

vannice, look like u are another person facing the same prob with the seller....delay after delay....first with screen shot from overseas banking transfer....then they told insufficient fund...cancelled the transaction...then some other "reasons".....and another delay.....when did you purchase the item and how long has you been dealing with this delay?

Guys, just report this ASAP. I'm sure more and more ppl will fall into their trap later on

Early June, until now, almost a month.
They kept delaying.
Everytime they says the money should be available after 3-4 days after banking cheque, bank transfer etc.....
But no promise has been realised.

Did they ever call you? What's the number that appear on your mobile phone?
Else, what's the number(s) that you can reach them?

The number they used to correspond is the same as they published at the website.

wow, I just found this discussion...

Back in March I ordered an iPad 1 and iPod Touch from them...
After the same story as the rest here, I asked for a refund and they said the replacement iPad 2 would arrive soon and asked me to wait.
I did manage to get a refund of RM799 from them for the iPod Touch.

Now the latest correspondence is that the final refund date would be 15 July...

i am one of the victim from i-city mall. They keep on delay and i dont think Corida giving good behaviour when u show some sort of 'suspect' towards them. they let me felt like you ask somebody 'hey,u fart?' and they Fxxx u back with "fxxx u bitxh"

my story as below
I am not sure can i said to be one of the i-city mall 'victim' as they sue a blogger who claims that they are a FRAUD at may 2011.
i had purchase products in an amount of RM3,739.01 on 20/4/2011.
I requested for a meet up for the next day,but they reply me with the product is not with them,its at the warehouse and wanted me to wait for another day. But unexpectedly they told me the product was sold out because was the last demo set,so request me for new product with the same price. (in the mean time also keep request me to ask for a refund)

After a few delays, i decided to cancle because ipad2 had launched. Finally i deal with them with an extra RM450 as compensate. So end of with i did not get my refund after more than 1 and half month.

After few weeks i wait,they told me they not manage to make it in the promised date because of A LOTS of incident and ask me to wait for it, and ask me to refund if im not satisfy.so i OFFICIALLY request my refund on 30th of May, and they gave me a lots of '..............' ('excuses' perhaps?)

the last time they delay was on tuesday which will done by this saturday which is today, but Untill now,yet i get my refund and i got another delay request from them. I had made a report to the consumer tribunal,guys please do it! thanks.

I'm one of the customer of i-citymall. As until today they failed to refund me back. Thye claimed got another 20 customer need to refund. Guys please guide me on how to report this. I'm in midst of compiling all email and sms from them.

I'm posting this because I need your guys guidance on how to report this matter as they dont mind if I'm reporting this case to higher authorities.

Below is the latest email I received as at 29th July 2011.

We need an extension of deadline until the first week of August to settle
the pre-order refunds for transaction on Monday 08/08/2011. I apologize
but your patience has a limit and I believe you already lost your trust
for the slow progress. But if you prefer to report this matter to KPDN,

me the filing reference for legal dispute after the report is done. It has
been over 13th times of postponements. I apologize for the company's
mismanagement and you had been disappointed since the first day.

Our team is currently working on the acquiring our venture capitalists to
allow us withdraw the substantial amount of proposed refunds from the
loans. Please expect the full amount in your bank account as late as
before 9.00 p.m on Monday (08/08/2011). I will make sure this is the last
extension request. We don't have any intention to cause such
disappointment especially when it effected your trust and the company's

Mind sharing the police report reference number so that the victims can refer your case to this case and perhaps they are the same guys!! Whether there is a refund coming on 8 Aug or not, I think it is already beyond just the refund.
