it is for EMERGENCY only~~

reason being is that its realli bad for ur body and mite hinder the chances of u havin a baby when ur older...
if u wanted to have unprotected sex ... should have taken the CONTRACEPTIVE PILL...

n neways even if u take the pill.. itdoesnt protect u from STDS......

Even contraceptive pills (combined oral contraceptive pills = COC) has effects which is bad. But then again, there's Estrogen in the Contraceptive pills which lessens the effect of the progesteron in it.

Emergency pills on the other hand is usually purely progesteron, so there you'll have hormonal imbalance, leading to most of the side effects mentioned

Advice - Sex only after marriage, if not ... CONDOM!

anyway, the one who should be counsel is the guy... girls, learn to protect yourself...advice your bf.
emergency pill is not a all time solution for "accident". you'll be very suffer taking these kinda pills...especially most of you will feel nausea and vomit..and if you did vomit out the drugs...
have to becareful, because there's a chance that the dosage is not enough to push you up to "safe" contraceptive level. that's when these emergency pills failed...

My girlfriend and I have sex very regularly. So out of paranoia, she took the morning after pill, one in the morning of December 24th and one at night. The next night, we had sex again but this time the condom tore.

Thing is, I had no idea the condom had torn so I went ahead and ejaculated in to her vagina. Needless to say that the both of us were really freaked out. So she took an ECP (morning after) this morning. My question is, is it safe to take an ECP not more than 48 hours after taking another ECP?
Also, what are her chances of getting pregnant if she didn't take the second ECP this morning?

morning after pills is actually for emergency cases ie. torn condom, leak and other "accidents". and yep, is for the rape victims too.. problem is it got freely dispensed in most of our pharmacies that it got misused especially by our young friends.

side effect? which drug in the market dont have side effect? but this morning after pill does have very bad (read VERY BAD) side effects as mentioned in the comments above.

if couples really want to include sex in their relationship, they should understand and be aware of the risk and consequences; not only to them but also to their families and their loved ones. use condom or low dose oral contraceptive pills (which is much safer than the morning after pills).

just remember, sex is fun but bear in mind it comes with responsibility.

Depends on when you had sex with her in relation to her period cycles. If it's far from ovulation, the chances are minimal on it's own. However, if you're talking about ovulation period, then the chances are extremely low because she took the pills just the day before. That is enough to cause hormonal imbalance to prevent pregnancy!

What if our period don't come and suspect ourselves got pregnant? can we still consume emergency contraception to make our period come? to stop the fertilization ..?

Emergency contraceptive pills are taken after 72 hours of unprotected sex. Other than that, I don't see a point. Maybe u should buy a pregnancy test kit first. Delayed period might not signify pregnancy. There are loads of other reasons.

When she was 2 months and a half, i have "ahem" with my partner using condom (put on condom on later on ..) my period didn't come until today. so is it normal for every women (just gave birth)

and i don't feel nausea or any pregnancy's symptoms. kinda worry now

Anyway, do you still breast feed your 3 mth baby? If you do, then you shouldn't worry too much because breast feeding causes NATURAL contraceptive! That's why you dont even have your period back yet. Periods usually come back normally after a few months after delivery!

I dont think you're pregnant, but please try taking daily oral contraceptives or use the condom properly (as soon as penetration) to avoid POOR spacing between 2 children. You want to be absolutely back to normal before you get pregnant again!

Oh.. I didn't know that breastfeeding will cause natural contraceptive. This info is so useful to me.. Made me glad now. I stopped breastfeeding when she is 2 months and a half because i'm going to start working after new year. I know breastfeeding is the best for the baby, but working life have to go on. Next time i will be more extra careful...i had already enough kids now. 4 in total. Thanks for such info.

Oh, I thought you should know that it is natural contraceptive since you've 4 children already. That means you have stopped breastfeeding just 2 weeks before you had sex? Surely it's no problem then.. relax, you'll be fine!

Yup, breastfeeding is recommended till 6 mths.. but there's always ways like breast pump, in which you can store your milk and let the baby drink even when you're at work!

for my 1st and 2nd, i did use breast pump. but kinda painful around the nipple area. and i dont like practicing storing milk. afraid the bacteria growth .. doctor advised me after you make the milk, and your child do want to drink at that time, you only can store less than 1 hr. after 1 hr, the milk cannot be drink because of some reason..due to bacteria ? i had forgotten

and follow up with my 3rd and 4th child, i practiced breastfeeding.

Usually sperms can survive up to 72 hours in female body. But there are cases where it can survive more than that. How long? That's a subjective question, maybe 24 hours and more. Depends where the fertilization happens.

You can store the breast milk in the fridge. It will last for 1 day. Store in the freezer, it will last for few weeks. I dont know exactly, but you can find out!
