Implanon can be done outpatient. It is a minor procedure where u will get local anesthesia and insertion procedure takes around 1 minute at the inner aspect of the left upper arm, between the biceps and triceps. Then the Implanon is placed subcutaneously. Implanon need to be replaced every 3 years. Implanon is good to provide long term contraception.

Yup. The doctor needs to make a small incision (after local anaesthetic) to remove it.....

Not sure about the pricing though....

erm, isn't it eating this pill will cause hormon imbalance or something? It's not good to try to manipulate the way our body works you know~

You mean the emergency pill?

To a certain extent, it does interfere with the timing of the next menstrual cycle, either early, late or no change.... Otherwise, it doesn't really cause any serious problems in terms of hormonal changes....

Anyway, just remember that the pill should be used for that occasional "emergency" only, and not as a regular/routine habit....

go to a doctor, not a pharmacy... a detail history and physical examination is important before taking ECP so that you do not, in turn, harm your body... ECP has side effects that are individual to each person... it is illigal for pharmacist to prescript ECP...

instead, IUCD (intra-uterine contraception device) would be a better option.. you can get it from the clinics, insert it for a year or two and remove it when you want to conceive... it's a simple procedure
