some pharmacy ran out of stock of postinor2,will recommend madonna.

the prescription in the box says sumthing different to consume it (cant remember), but when ask the pharmacist, she said can just consume it like postinor. ie. 1 taken in 72 hours, another after 12hours.

but since so used using postinor,n since madonna a bit cheaper,i have doubts tongue.gif

so always must buy postinor in some stocks, not confident with madonna

It's called drug interaction, which you should be careful about while taking different medications. However, most flu drugs wont cause any problems with your OCP.

Out of the topic, if you're not married and you're not into family planning, try to avoid OCPs.. smile.gif

No. But certain antibiotics and other medications will. You must always inform your doctor that you are on birth control when he prescribes you a medication. Then he can advise you properly. Sometimes, just use a condom for a week when you are taking certain antibiotics. The commonest culprit that reduces the efficacy of OCP that i have seen so far is anti tuberculous medications.

Normal flu medications wont, it's as simple as that. Unless you've TB blablabla, but highly unlikely you're having TB because you wont be spending much time online, plus you'll be on medications daily and you would have mentioned that. But clearly, the topic is about FLU, so dont worry, you'll be alright.

Advice above is VERY much of significance, remember to inform your Doc that you're on OCP and he'll be careful, of course, if he's bright enough smile.gif

my 2cents on morning-after pills:

the most common morning-after pills sold over pharmacy counters in Malaysia is Postinor-2. There are 2 tablets in a box (sold for around RM3.50) and first tablet should be taken within 12 hours after sex and another one on the 2nd 12 hours.

morning-after pills are no good and harm your body system. everyone should avoid taking it and if you are looking for contraceptive pills, i recommend Yasmin (daily contraceptive pills) which has added advantages such as water retention reduction, shorter period cycle, lesser period flow and alot more.

side note: morning-after pills are restricted to 2 times a month (max 3 times), i had a friend taking 3 boxes a month and experienced vaginal bleeding sad.gif

because its 'shaving' her uterus walls and its bad for pregnancy. i dont think taking 2times a month is good enough. i still recommend once in 2mths or more.

Tht's hot.

Anyway, it's not like people get the chance to choose how many times they wanna take the PILLS.. it's EMERGENCY! If you're in an emergency then you jolly well just have to take it! Of course, prevent yourself from getting in that situations with proper precautions.. but the way people are discussing it here, it seems like ppl wanna take it once/twice a mth like medication! tongue.gif
