Hye guys..need to ask something with u guys..

this is the situations. I have unprotected sex with my gf last wednesday 09 april. The things that I'm worried is she didnt remember when is her first and last day of her period last month. The only things she remember is it finished at around end of last month, which is either 28,29, or so on. and she said may be she started her period on 24 march.

I didnt ejaculate inside but i'm afraid with my precum..we didnt do sex the day before.

So the next day I've ask my gf to eat Postinor (around 33 hours after we've intercourse). So what are the chances for her to get pregnant? We're so worried....

how about contraceptive patch? does it really work? and can we get it in msia? i actually saw some westener with the patch on their arm b4. but am not sure whether can we get it in msia.
is there any other way beside, taking contraceptive pill, condom and IUD? heard something about injection for the female and can prevent pregnancy up to several months. is that true?

Hi i'm a young mother of 3... I've been using IMPLANON since 2006...
It can last for about 3 years depending on the person's body mass.
So far I've never had any side effects; beside the minor headache once in a blue moon.

Implanon(R) is a long-acting reversible contraceptive. It is shaped like a tiny rod which is inserted just under the skin at the inside of your upper arm.

* Your pre-existing fertility returns quickly after the removal of Implanon(R)
* Its quick and easy to insert and remove

Who can use Implanon(R)?

* want an alternative to sterilisation
* want to space their children
* want to delay having children

Where'd you get the Implanon? Have you taken it out after implantation?
Any side effects? Weight gain etc?

I got it from my gynae... (only certified gynae can do it>check out their clinics with their cert)
I haven't taken it out yet.. it's due early next year...(lasts 3 years)
Currently no side effects.. but minor headaches once in a blue moon..
but it's worth it as i don't have to think why my period isn't here yet or S*** i forgot to take the pill...
and plus if you calculate the prices of pills of 3 years plus the condoms you buy.. it's almost the same..
so why not pay a little more to get full confidence right?

once you've reached puberty, then you can use Implanon.. it's advisable for working adults actually..

Yes. That can be termed as the "failure rate".

For common condom usage, the failure rate can be as high as 15 out of a 100 in the first year of usage. However, if you use it correctly and consistently (perfect user), it can be as low as 2 out of a 100..... smile.gif

Yup, it is effective within 72 hours. The earlier, the better.

On average, the emergency pill will prevent 7 out of 8 pregnancies....

Yup, you are covered then. However, remember that it prevents 7 out of 8 pregnancies, meaning that there is still a chance of failure.

Madonna? There are a lot of brands but the content is basically the same (Levonorgestrel).

That usually happens when you take EC. Only slightly more than half of women have subsequent menses which is according to schedule. The rest can get their menses earlier or later.

However, another cause could be pregnancy...... if the pain persist or the bleeding becomes abnormal, it is advisable to seek a doctor's opinion/checkup....

so, if the intercourse was with a condom and it did not tear, no semen entered the vagina right? also, if the ejaculation was done outside the vagina, is there still a chance of pregnancy? two very safe steps in preventing pregnancy were taken; a condom and ejaculation outside the vagina. any chance of pregnancy ? smile.gif

chance is always there. but what are the chances?

use of condom appropriately prevent pregnancy upto 98% something.

appropriately as in the condom did not tear?
even if it did not tear, is there still a possibility?

Added on June 11, 2008, 8:45 pmbut then there was no ejaculation inside the vagina...
so, are the chances greatly reduced?

kind-off. did not tear, did not come off, wear it before vaginal intercourse etc.

yes. no ejaculation inside vagina, of course the chances are greatly reduced.
