I am using MML porselain tiles for the entire house. We found out the tiles fall of from the wall when we drill the hole for accessories. MML came to check and confirmed the tiler should apply a thin layer of glue on the tiles. The tiler missed this step and they claimed they had the same standard practise all this while and no problem. There are 2 different spots had the same problems.
Some of tiles are holding strong. The contractor is willing to give 10 years warranty but refuse to change all tiles. Do u know if this glue layer is a must material to put? Can I take legal action if they refuse to change out all tiles? Its too troublesome if they are many problems happen in 10 years, dust everywhere?
Is it fair that I ask them to change out all tiles and get back their standard 1 year warranty?

2. Remove old tiles 12*4 feet

Cost is MYR 31.25/sq ft (MYR7,500)
Is this excessive?

no need if small amount for personal use...

a lot ppl buy furnitures etc from taobao and use sea shipping...

u can search malaysia shipping in taobao...in mandarin...a lot of these services...so cheap

10 boxes of tiles for personal use is OK? consider small amount?

I used 2x2 venus tiles around 80 boxes. Same batch but come out different colors. White and Light Grey.

How are you going to handle issues like broken tiles, different colours and wrong products? Do you have enough time and energy dealing with overseas sellers for replacement tiles? Don’t be overwhelmed with the idea of saving a little bit of money because it could end up spending more.

lol if you are within 500 pieces, don't bother. Shipping and waste will kill all the cost saving.

Ceramic and marble, depends on grade, starts from 50/pcs for 8by8. But I can tell you this size very rare and usually nice looking ones are by custom order. Reno stock in malaysia is usually 6by6.
