Add me in as another 5750G user. Got it in December... Only just sent it in on Tuesday to replace the motherboard... And got it back half an hour ago. Err... But any way to tell that the motherboard has been replaced? Thanks

Hi guys, new forum-er here from Johor.

Bought my 5750G on the 1st of April ( PC Expo held @ Persada Johor ) Actually been eying this model for quite some time.

Upon purchasing I immediately upgrade the ram.. (warranty still valid.. hehe..) from 4G to 8G.. guess I need it since I'm doing a lot of designing with Adobe softwares.. I'm also an avid gamer.. so far I have COD World At War, COD Modern Warfare 1&2, COD Black Ops & Medal of Honor installed.. but had to limit my gaming session to 2/3 hours or so.. feared the heat from the GPU might melt the whole lappy..hehe..

Was thinking of upgrading the hard disk though.. from 5400rpm to 10,000 rpm maybe? Can it be done?

Also been eying for Cooler Master's Infinite Color / EVO..hmmm...

You can only upgrade to 7200rpm or SSD...
10000rpm is too thick...

Definitely SSD!
normal 7200RPM is around RM200+
The better 7200RPM 500GB Seagate Momentus XT cost RM400+
as for SSD, 60GB can cost around RM4xx

for those 5750G with i7, what's the discharge rate for battery mode with light web browsing, minimum screen brightness and muted?

Mine around 11-14W, battery only last around 4 hours (standard 6 cells 4400mah, 4750G 14")

iKyleZ : First thing I did was go to windows update. On your desktop there should be a 'Computer' icon. Right click, and choose 'Properties'. Then click on 'Windows Update', located on the bottom left. Usually windows will automatically list down things that require updating, if not, click on 'Check for updates', top left.

I would also update the anti-virus. I make updating windows & anti-virus a daily habit.

Correct me if I'm wrong..
