Dear Forte owners
I had finally decided for forte 1.6 SX and booked my car today with Vincent at Serdang Raya. Indeed, he is very well informed for the car and he will tried his best to deliver my car before my birthday which is on the 21 March. haha..

The SAs at TTDI, Kota Damansara and Naza Autoworld on the Federal Highway told me the same thing. Then I called City Ruby in Bandar Sunway, where someone named Jason assured me they have a 6-speed for testdrive. I haven't had time to go there yet.

This guy service also very good, I got my 1.6sx from him last year. I would say he is a responsible person and he listen to the customers. smile.gif

Finally got my car from Vincent as what he promised,
The whole process took less than 2 weeks,
He even treat me for a drink & share his sales story to me this noon,
Overall I must say his service is good, not those "flower mouth" SA
And most important he delivered what he promise during booking.

And now... It's my moment to get speechless with my new Forte! Hurray~~~~

Cheers

Hi all Forte owner,

I am considering a few cars at below or slightly above 85k car and Forte 1.6 SX is definitely under heavy consideration. Please do tell me what is your opinion on this car, the performance for a 1.6 SX and the maintenance cost involved ( servicing, FC, etc)?

since you ride a myvi before, please do not expect the FC will be the same. coz forte is under C segment car with heavy body and 17" rim.
my FC is considered good enough.. and heard the new FL will give good FC (improvement 10% more from 4 speed)

I'm also considering Forte, leaning more towards 2.0, how much difference between 1.6 & 2.0 in term of FC?

If you are taking 1.6EX then i believe can, SA will be able to mark up the price and apply for the loan using 1.6SX model.
Full loan usually needs to have 2 variants of spec within the same engine capacity...

yes. can apply but still have to fork out few K. in the region 1K ~ 2K.
personal experience in applying full loan for EX variant. loan apply for SX.

81800K; 10% downpayment = 8200
loan applied = 81800K - 8200 = 73600

previous EX price = 75800

so you've to fork out; 75800 - 73600 = rm2200

i use previous price.. to reflect current FL price.. calculate yourself

last time i also asked the same thing. i want SX with full loan. the answer is NO. i dunno lah if now can.
but last time cannot. coz the engine capacity must be the same. easy for them to change the undertaking letter with the bank once loan approved

ur old car still under financing? and try to get second loan for forte?

most likely difficult if total loan exceed 30-40% of your income...

more difficult if you have house mortgage.. maybe need guarantor
