@Lon3LyJay : dat is not a problem. still in back-order or you've received the item?

if you received the item, try giving out some reviews. I'm opting to see a battery consumption over video playback review(so that we can beat out those XPS guys haha) tongue.gif

ok found it.

quite hard to find actually, but the nvcv.inf (Clevo information file for nVidia graphic driver installer) isn't update, the driver id is there, but NP8130 hardware id wasn't.

i modified nvcv.inf and do the proper modification.

and here it is:

user posted image
here's how to do it (in a simple way)

1) Download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?6fg51fg98zvgls7

2) Replace the old nvcv.inf (you'll find it at C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\267.76\Vista 64-bit\International\Display.Driver)

3) Run setup.exe (C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\267.76\Vista 64-bit\International)

many thanks to pefuwod who initiated the idea of hacking the driver inf file smile.gif

@pewufod: aisey typo la pulak sori2 on mobile right now, will correct it later

@kpchoo29 : not really sager's fault but nvidia. It depends on them to include which notebook is supported by the driver

I doubt if there any reseller shipping cards individually, unless Sager doesnt support the cards. All the configs i see at reseller website is also available at Sager's website

32 isn't that bad. So long that it is above 30 FPS, that should be good and the flipping isn't noticable to normal eyes

@kahjye : It should fit into a 15.4" bag. I use Deuter Giga Office Pro, the max size is supposedly 15.4", but Sager's 15.6" laptop dimension still fits smile.gif.

I think I got another 15.4" Belkin laptop bag, but not sure if fit or not. I'll post a picture with the notebook in it if I can find the bag.

For the same spec, I think you could get a cheaper price buying Sager rather than M17x, most probably due to Sager's not having the LED-backlit keyboard, and no fancy designs.

Also, some more NP8130 benchmark here updated at my review thread : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=41131091

To Kahjye : Here's some pictures of the laptop compared with a 15.4" HP8150 (you don't see the different much), thus the 15.6" 8130 laptop should fit in a 15.4"-based bag. The last 2 images are the Belkin 15.4" bag I mentioned earlier. Very old (2 y.o++) bag
(I put the HP8510 on top of Sager NP8130, from the top you don't see much different at all)

it you look closely, 15.6 is just wider sikit, but 15.4 having the length to be more panjang a bit also.

The reason it is 2" more than 15.4, is because these inches are calculated diagonally, not horizontally or vertically.

lee_what2004 is correct. the 15.6" design, if my mind serves me correct, was created due to the 16:9 hype, 15.4" would benefit more in standard 4:3 (actually 15.4 is 16:10 based) display. My HP8510 screen resolution could go up to 1900x1200, while Sager NP8130 could only go up to 1920x1080 due to the 16:9.

QUOTE(This is a Lamp @ Mar 30 2011, 11:23 AM)
Eurocom isn't a good company to do business with. They have issues with customers and can be good liars. Also, they have sold the 6970m to some people, but found out that they were engineering samples which aren't supposed to be sold to users...shady...
*
the same thing i saw while reviewing Eurocom's past deals with several NBR forumers. I think one of the forumers even created a thread over how bad their management was.

no customs tax for laptop, that's for sure. Bought mine from LPC, heck they even sent it to me at nighttime smile.gif

Warranty should be regional, cubehub might offer you free delivery from Spore to US if you need to send your unit back to Sager's factory. For xoticpc, you'll need to bear the shipping cost from Msia to US (I believe so)

haha, you found the Sager loophole as of now.

For Sager, the closest is NP5160, but the GPU is just 540m and not 550m, while other settings were configured to the same as Asus. Price is $924.00, but if you buy through reseller you could get a $90 discount if you choose to buy the notebook without a preloaded Win7.

In term of price, Sager wins. Performance, might be a close race.
