wah , from who u bought the sager?

From my sig, LogicalBlueOne.

Australian reseller. I'm based there so I ordered one from them for easier warranty returns/repairs.

I got a feeling that paying for warranty in advance is not worth it.

I'd rather get an upgrade on the laptop and trust in Sager's quality then pay for the shipping cost warranty.

you can send them an e-mail to cancel the order. I believe you haven't made a payment yet

Actually Keenxlimit, you can ask to change the order. Don't have to cancel it haha, unless you really needed to cancel it.

Yeah, just as lee_what says, most laptops are 2.0 speakers.

5.1 THX TruStudio is just the program included, that allows 5.1 to be emitted from a set of 5.1 speakers if you have them (I think, I have to confirm this when I get the laptop next week)

Anyway, regarding the GPUs. The 6970m is cheaper than the GTX 485m and performs almost equally, but I would think the GTX 580m is priced higher than both (obviously it's leagues higher than the other two). Power hungry isn't an issue if you're ordering the NP8170 or the NP8150; both have 180W power adapters. The issue pops up when you are using the NP8130, with the 120W power adapter.
Also, an update on the orders worldwide. The laptops have begun shipping to customers yesterday (Thursday). Finally, the wait is over!
*
Sure, do confirm me when you get it. Do a review, a brief and detailed one, that is =D
For my case, I think a 5.1 is actually good enough, haha.
I just want a great sound quality and clarity to boost my gaming experience.

Actually I wanna ask something about power supply, I've been confused over the 8150 and 8130.

Assume that I buy the same spec of 8150 and 8130.
In what way does it affect if I used a bigger power supply like 8150 has compared to 8130 which only has 120W?
Cooling?
Does higher wattage provide a more stable system?

Do educate me more, haha XD

What I did was when I clicked on checkout on mucro.asia is preorder (pay 10% now 90% when shipment of laptop arrive in singapore and proceed to ship to customer)

I did it via Maybank2u.

I chose DHL for the full insurance coverage.

this is just shipping or included build time? Isn't it normally take weeks to build a laptop?

Hey I got a question for the NP8130 users or soon to be users.

Does the GTX460M support Optimus?

IF it doesnt , will the laptop know how to change between the Intergrated GPU and the Standalone gpu??

thanks

The bigger power supply allows concrete solution for future upgrades. If you scrape the 180W adapter on the 8130 then it would be viable for higher power consumption GPUs and CPUs. However, if you run a 120W with the GTX 485m, the card would not perform as well as it would.

No. Clevo decides to remove the integrated solution for the higher end cards due to driver incompatibilities with some games (e.g. Punkbuster may think you're hacking, weird).

the card itself supports optimus but all the clevo 81xx barebones does not. the display is wired directly to the card.

normally it take less than a week. but since lots of people ordering these new tech, it may take more than that (depends on how many orders they received)

What if I don't plan to upgrade at all?
Then the 8130 is just fine with me? And the cooling in 8130 and 8150 is just the same right?

8150 has rubber finish while the 8130 has a plastic finish.
Rubber finish is definitely better right?

Another irony is that the 8150 has a glossy display while the 8130 has a matte display, it's just so hard to decide!!
