Please read the fine print before deciding on your next laptop. Since a lot of people are getting confused on what is offered. We will also offer the same type of price for those who are willing to pay for parts shipping DURING warranty periods. This means that any parts costs that you have, you will need to pay for:
shipping to Singapore
shipping to USA
shipping from USA
shipping to you

This will save us a lot of money without having to include that in the price for you. Past customers have always not need to pay for this and we absorbed it during warranty periods. We will also do the same type of process for these kinds of customers. You have the option in your product page now. These options are highly NOT recommended because we normally cover you for most internal costs. Its almost like not having warranty. Local service centre will also not be used for these type of customers.

If you have done so earlier I wont have to bother looking at Cubehub.

So if we buy from you including your regional warranty. Can we drop off our laptops to your Malaysia Based service center for warranty/service?

Quote me the best price for NP8130 with your warranty and shipping and with the below specs:

Yes. When you use regional warranty. Your warranty costs are inclusive except for dropping off costs.
It depends on how severe is the problem. Sometimes local service centre is not able to fix, so it is faster/cheaper to just send it to us.
We have had people fix at the local service centre before but it is for minor issues and it is usually within the first month or so.

QUOTE(This is a Lamp @ Mar 10 2011, 07:19 AM)
The Realtek ones in laptops are pretty squeeky in terms of sound. High treble issues, and very common in many laptops. Not only this, it runs off the motherboard and adds a bit of strain on it. The Realtek has a cool feature that you can change the key of the speakers (kinda like increasing/decreasing the pitch). If you tweak it a bit, the Realtek can be a decent card.

The USB X-Fi was designed to run independently from the laptop.

It has better software packages, surround sound support and Creative only features (e.g. Crystallizer, robust equalisations). Well, in simpler terms, you get more "umph" in your bass, and better treble. The only downside is that you have to have external speakers/headphones. There's a very big difference in quality, but I can't show you that right now as I am at work now haha.

But if you're not too bothered about the sound, the Realtek is actually still a good card to have and also good for those who do not have speakers/headphones. If you're tight on money then just go for Realtek...unless you can haggle in Lowyat Plaza. Got my X-Fi for RM190.

Well, your sound card seems to be a good buy huh?
I'll check out Low Yat when I ever drop by at KL, haha..

But what the Sager 8150 has is a 5.1 THX TruStudio Sound isn't it?

I wonder if their built-in speakers are powerful and crisp =/

By the way, when will the GTX560M 1.5GB be released for the 8150?

just receive e-mail from mucro about warranty

In the past we used to cover shipping both ways when the machine failed within 1 month and no coverage for shipping from Malaysia to Singapore after 1 month for serious defects.

Judging from calculations we might need to raise prices if we are to cover shipping both ways. It is actually cheaper to send a laptop from Malaysia to Singapore. It is expensive for us to cover using courier services.
Our current plan covers free shipping back to user or collection at the local service centre.

I don't know about the THX 5.1. It only says THX TruStudio certified. And the speakers are only 2.1 anyway tongue.gif

And I do not think you should be looking at the GTX 560m, because it's not so powerful. You should be looking at the GTX 580m or the AMD 6970m (due in a month or two).

Ya,every laptop is 2.1 speaker, aren't they?

But usuali Tru Studio is 5.1 from what I heard, isn't it?Standard nowadays.
Otherwise, the older 1 would be 4.1.

Well, it isn't powerful because the G74SX featured in Cebit 2011 had a 128 bus width and 1GB DDR5 memory. By default, it should be 192 bus width and 1.5GB GDDR5.

580m or 6970m too costly and power hungry ><

If the default config was released, I'm sure it's more powerful.

Yeah, just as lee_what says, most laptops are 2.0 speakers.

5.1 THX TruStudio is just the program included, that allows 5.1 to be emitted from a set of 5.1 speakers if you have them (I think, I have to confirm this when I get the laptop next week)

Anyway, regarding the GPUs. The 6970m is cheaper than the GTX 485m and performs almost equally, but I would think the GTX 580m is priced higher than both (obviously it's leagues higher than the other two). Power hungry isn't an issue if you're ordering the NP8170 or the NP8150; both have 180W power adapters. The issue pops up when you are using the NP8130, with the 120W power adapter.

Also, an update on the orders worldwide. The laptops have begun shipping to customers yesterday (Thursday). Finally, the wait is over!
