You can't make nandroid backups. Flash a newer CWM recovery (2.5.1.8) or Amon-Ra Recovery
*
Hi, i tried to google CWM recovery (2.5.1.8), but cant find any download link.

Just want to ask how to upgrade the ClockworkMod Recovery? I Google and found some info said using FASTBOOT. Need to know what is the steps? Put the zip files in SD Card? Then what next? Is it the same as Flash Custom ROM? Thanks.

yes, this is confirm. after nandroid, don't switch to other recovery before if you need to restore.
for me, actually seldom nandroid. just lazy... just flash n flash, latest to latest.
so far no issue and no turning back needed.

for me, What I tested is:
1. fastboot = work
2. Unrevoked Method = work (this is recommended for newbiew)

Starburst is my favourite so far. Even with live wallpaper on, it is still very smooth ("leaping" is smooth too). Had some force closes before this but once I partitioned sd card correctly, it is very stable and smooth. Have been using for 2 days.

I've been trying to install starburst but keep failing after the reboot .. what partition did you have ? I did one fat32 + one 1.5 GB ext4 .. after install Data2SDInstallerW3_StarBurst.zip it took forever at the htc logo .. more than an hour and I gave up rclxub.gif

Use Unrevoked with custom .img file for CWM 3.0.0.5 (You should use 2.5.1.8 for S-ON)
Reflash again...=]

-There is another way *I think* but I used that way because I also encountered the same problem. No harm reflashing biggrin.gif

The all-you-need sos: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809328

A few links are epic fail but most are accurate. Info there isn't really updated-ish.

2.5.1.8 inside .img one

Charging heat is caused by the carbon anode (typically replaced with lithium titanate which drastically reduces damage from charging, including expansion and other factors). O.O any verification on this sos? x.x

Faster then stock rclxms.gif tongue.gif

Don't believe people when they say 'fast' lolololol.

It just means it's stable tongue.gif

All the roms i test say fast but not my 'fast' wink.gif

Based on what you said, booting speed quite standard with some of the other roms (MIUI, CM7, leedr)

Idk but to me they all boot about the same time, and ofc faster than Stock.

Apps running fast is ... ._. that 1 depend on ur phone specs right sleep.gif?

Unless u got some apps together with rom that eats up CPU then maybe....but no lol

When I say fast I meant the OS itself not booting time .. I don't reboot my phone everyday so it doesn't matter to me how long it boots. Using the phone/OS is snappy. There's no wait/lag. Every click is instantaneous; I believe the lack of Sense UI could be a contributing factor as well. Plus you're left with about 100MB after flashing the rom !!! rclxms.gif

yeah i know. But you know last time i use his rom was RC3/4. after that i'm on cm7 and never look back. i'm considering but devnull is stock as hell so i might miss a lot of features from CM. 46MB looks tempting for me though.
