Just want to ask how to upgrade the ClockworkMod Recovery? I Google and found some info said using FASTBOOT. Need to know what is the steps? Put the zip files in SD Card? Then what next? Is it the same as Flash Custom ROM? Thanks.

QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Mar 14 2011, 04:13 PM) other rom than cm7, max is 24 hours. after that i revert to cm7 again. Bro, can poison me to switch to CM7? Currently using LeeDroiD 2.3d and experience Sense Reload almost once or twice per day. What will I miss if I go CM7?

QUOTE(yolk @ Mar 14 2011, 06:36 PM) if you don't use much of the sense feature you wouldn't be missing much. There's 3rd party launchers anyway. After running CM7 without sense I feel like my phone is turbocharged !! Turborcharge when switching from Sense to CM7, sound good. Maybe over the weekend will try CM7. BTW important features I found in HTC Sense are the dialer and People. Other not important.

QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Mar 14 2011, 11:47 PM) 512 ext is more than enough. you need to worry your internal as the cache will eventually eat it up over time. so you might wanna be changing hboot if you are s-off. Added on March 14, 2011, 11:49 pm512 ext is more than enough. you need to worry your internal as the cache will eventually eat it up over time. so you might wanna be changing hboot if you are s-off. EDIT : you are s-off and yeah recommended is cm7. and dont move cache to SD as it will involve personal issues. just the ext partition the way it is. as for CM7 features, try comparing it with Oxygen(the most stock you can see), and you'll know in the CM settings itself has much more features added, plus its getting better with each nightlies. I think I will try RC2 because can't afford to flash ROM every night. What say you? My HBOOT are AlphaRev 0.93.0001 which version should I move it to? Can I star with my existing hboot?

QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Mar 15 2011, 12:16 AM) well you can try the latest nightlies and staying with it. every nightlies is pretty stable i would say, compared to cm6 nightlies. if you are just trying, then try it with your current hboot i guess. yours should be the stock hboot. if you consider staying, might try the n1table hboot or cm7 hboot. see more at alpharev.nl i flashed nightlies when i have free times, and sometimes 1 nightlies per each 10. and you can flash without wipe so no trouble flashing everyday. Which one you recommend? n1table or cm7 hboot? I saw big difference in the cache size 95M vs 5M. Any performance difference? Yes, you are right I am on the Stock Table 250M system / 40M cache

QUOTE(tyja @ Mar 21 2011, 10:49 AM) Hboot is table of system, cache, data partition. we apply cm7 hboot becuase to fully utilize storage. cm7 can handle small cache. all dload data suppose to be dload at cache partition will be symlink to data partition. meaning beside system storage, all storage will become data storage. i dont use simple2ext coz cm7 hboot give me large storage for data. plus, many application nowadays have capability to transfer to sd card. ext4 partition is known to kill your sdcard slowly.. so far my game loading fine eventhough the app in sdcard (fat32). Added on March 21, 2011, 10:52 ambro, if you like cm7 so far, maybe you can try cm7 hboot..you will love it. it has big data storage. @tyja I read post which mention CM7 hboot will have problem if you flash radio using recovery because of the low cache. Using adb method to flash radio which I think troublesome. Maybe will go CM7 once my memory go low. I also notice the radio signals is stronger compare the my previous LeeDroiD, in the lift today and the call quality was good. No distortion from GF to Level 11.

QUOTE(yolk @ Mar 21 2011, 01:07 PM) welcome to the world of CM7 .. now for you to choose your launcher replacement Pretty happy with ADW Launcher. Maybe will check out others once I get bored. Added on March 21, 2011, 3:11 pmQUOTE(tyja @ Mar 21 2011, 02:13 PM) ermm...everybody is concerning about this... using fastboot is way better than flashing zip file. it reduce risk of bricking. and one more thing..do you always change your radio? i just flash my radio if got new radio.. Agreed. will change my hboot tonight to CM7. Any radio will use fastboot. This post has been edited by volcane: Mar 21 2011, 03:11 PM

QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Mar 22 2011, 11:28 AM) yeah sgs2 is great. but as i read over time, dont invest on dual core phones yet, as it will not be fully utilized yet by the devs and app developer. wait until you see more dual core phones arrive. probably 2012 you can invest on them. i'm looking at Inc S now actually. the bad thing is, no root yet! btw guys, what if i buy the AP Singapore set? whats the difference? kinda eager and eager to sell my Desire... gagaga~~ @hazril - yes damn it why no root yet!! will wait till root available before consider Inc S. BTW friends just bought one yesterday, the screen is very bright and nice compare to my Desire. Size just 5mm extra.

QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Mar 25 2011, 10:45 AM) Added on March 25, 2011, 10:46 am@krk24 - if you want a good and stable community, its damn worth it. if you are the one that are sticking to legal way, official stuff, get Incredible S mate. agreed with @LuffyPSP. if you only stick to Stock ROM and don't want to root your phone go get Incredible S, my friends using it and I like it. Very responsive because of the new CPU, SLCD screen are nice. Maybe will change once root available + my commitment to Maxis is over. BTW @LuffyPSP CM7 battery not as good as LeeDroiD, is there difference kernel available?

QUOTE(krk24 @ Mar 28 2011, 02:54 AM) thx bro...any htc booth around puchong..? or klang valley area... Added on March 28, 2011, 3:00 amthx for the heads up LuffyPSP bro...since i dont own any smartphone..this is my 1st time into this world...and i loved to be an adroid due to their open source community... one more thing bro...whats the meaning of ROM? is it by using root access were able to tweak android phone..? so these activities are consider illegal is it..? whats the main diffrences between HTC desire / HTC desire HD & HTC Incredible S..? Added on March 28, 2011, 3:02 amvolcane bro, u said ur fren owned incredible S.....so far hows the battery usage..? P.S. i heard mostly battery life for smartphones on heavy usage needs to charge daily..? but i need those with at least charge 2-3 days per time...any htc models has it? Luffy give a pretty good answer on this. He charged it daily. IMHO consider good if you don't have to charge your phone twice a day. Anyhow it all depends on your usage.
