Check if you have an app called Superuser. If you don't have that then you're not rooted....

You need to root first.

Hi bro, thx for your info, im 1st time doing this. biggrin.gif

Now i have rooted my phone successfully, and have Superuser app.
but when i boot the phone to ClockWorkMod recovery screen, i saw this error:

E: Can't find MISC:
E: Can't mount CACHE: recovery/command
E: Can't find MISC:
E: Can't mount CACHE: recovery/log

and then when i choose any option in the menu by pressing the Power button, it shows blank screen..

Can help to advise me on how to solve the above error? notworthy.gif

Thanks

You can't make nandroid backups. Flash a newer CWM recovery (2.5.1.8) or Amon-Ra Recovery
*
Hi, i tried to google CWM recovery (2.5.1.8), but cant find any download link.

Use Unrevoked with custom .img file for CWM 3.0.0.5 (You should use 2.5.1.8 for S-ON)
Reflash again...=]

-There is another way *I think* but I used that way because I also encountered the same problem. No harm reflashing biggrin.gif
The all-you-need sos: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809328

A few links are epic fail but most are accurate. Info there isn't really updated-ish.

2.5.1.8 inside .img one

Charging heat is caused by the carbon anode (typically replaced with lithium titanate which drastically reduces damage from charging, including expansion and other factors). O.O any verification on this sos? x.x

Reflash to 2.5.1.8 successfully, but still facing the same error msg, which is Can't mount the /cache thingy.. sad.gif sad.gif

normally each time we wipe /cache
suppose not to see "E:Error erasing device @" before the msg Cache wiper complete.
since ClockworkMod Recovery give you a trouble, you may consider try Amon_RA recovery (my favorite, had try ClockworkMod but dislike)
again, make sure you have successful root the phone.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Ok, now i have the CWM recovery, how do i uninstall it before i flash to Amon RA recovery?

I have found a download for Amon RA recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=839621 , can teach me on how to flash this recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0.IMG ?

Thanks. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

wrong technique bro...should use either rom manager or Amon ra recovery...

Hi Abang Hazril

If use the ROM Manager to partition the sd card, the Swap size shud choose 0MB or 32MB ? (mine 1 is 16GB class 4 sd card)

QUOTE(djlah @ Feb 25 2011, 07:32 PM)
just release that you said wipe cache partition. this is wipe the cache on your ext.sd
this is not same as wipe /cache. this is wipe cache from internal memory.

but from here, it's good that detect your issue might on mount problem.
that's why you failed  to nandroid. as the backup as save in sd card fat32.

try this:
Execute this command from ADB or a Terminal Emulator app from the Marketplace: cat /proc/mtd
*
Thanks bro for the info, i will try it if im still facing the error after re-partition the sd card.. smile.gif

any size of swap should be no problem. but I always see the recommended is 0MB swap. you can just follow as I do. no problem.
I just see your youtube link, never that that method before. just try Gparted LiveCD before only.
high probability you might need to re-partition to perform nandroid for compatible issue.
*
Hi, i try to re-partition the sd card by using ROM Manager, and still hitting the same error msg about mount cache in Recovery screen.
I'll try the method that you have mentioned at the previous post..

from the command you run just now, u should see Erasesize will say either 20000 or 40000
40000 should be PVT4, 2000 should be older PVT.
