QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 15 2011, 02:42 PM) Yeah I think so or they knew the new Persona's coming with GPS so they targeted my car. My phone and wallet were already in the glove-box when I left my house so doubt they saw me when I put it in. |

Well...things like this happens...Just accept it (after cursing the thief as much as you can) then move on.
@vaizard No need. PR 1.3 file -> Is for root format Vanilla file -> Is for the eMMC Both these file will only modify phone memory & will never modify SIM memory. |

So first, do I need to uninstall 0.0.8? And is the 2 files above enough for me to upgrade to 0.0.9? Correct me if im wrong, 0.0.9 is Gingerbread right? 'mount /mmcblk1p5 /and' then 'cd /and' to go to the mounted path then 'rm -rf' to delete everything there unzip the n12_umay.tar.bz and you will get n12_umay.tar and while you still are in /and folder run 'tar xvf n12_umay.tar' then dpkg -i the nitdroid kernel rc3 but i tell you, rc3 kernel something wrong... QUOTE(jananan @ May 15 2011, 06:50 PM) mount your android partition - blk1 = microsd / p5=partition no, yours might be different I think it's safe to assume that most of the "regular" users will only make 1 additional partition & they'll install NITDrroid to mmcblk0p5.'mount /mmcblk1p5 /and' then 'cd /and' to go to the mounted path then 'rm -rf' to delete everything there unzip the n12_umay.tar.bz and you will get n12_umay.tar and while you still are in /and folder run 'tar xvf n12_umay.tar' then dpkg -i the nitdroid kernel rc3 but i tell you, rc3 kernel something wrong... I do think rc3 kernel have some issue. In theory Android 2.3 should be able to run in N900 without any lagging while OC-ed up to 850MHz/1GHz.But there are still some lagging & other minor issues lingering with UMay12. I still think v0.0.8 is the smoothest released yet. Unfortunately I cannot test NITDroid for 1.I'm testing kernel power v47 now since lots of people complain about it's stability & battery issue. For me kernel power v47 has been very stable. No crash from OS or any application.I played entire 1h 45minutes avi(divx codec) & it played without any issues and also battery life was ok while playing the video. So far my N900 has last 3 1/2 days with moderate usage.Still 20% of the battery left. |

Can any sifu offer me help please?
I have Nitdroid working just fine on my N900, but the thing is I cant and dont really know how to install APK files (some apps cant be installed from Android market) 1st I tried placing APK file at the normal folder N900 folder (accessible from stock Maemo file manager), boot Nitdroid and open it with Astro file manager and install, but that doesnt work. Then Super Evil Alien advise me to unmount the microSD & launch the .apk file from NITDroid's root location But when I unmount the MicroSD from setting menu, I cant find the folder anymore. I thought about copy and paste the apk file to the root folder before unmounting, but.. I cant seem to do so? Maybe because I dont have root access or something? Can anyone please offer me advice?.. Thanks in advance.. |
