Well Intel has said it is still committed to MeeGo, hopefully they will hire the many hundreds of staff that left Nokia yesterday.

Intel is definitely interested in the Smartphone market so we might see a phone from Intel or its partners. Maybe not so soon but in a year or two. MeeGo has a huge ecosystem considering it's not only a mobile OS.

Also we have to remember Intel wants to bring in x86 mobile CPUs and AMD also has an interest in MeeGo so its not all doom and gloom for MeeGo!

Although unlikely we might see an announcement by Intel in the coming Mobile Conference in Barcelona.

Well Nokia's share has gone down 15% in the same day the deal was announce so go figure lol

Anyhow I see this as a takeover from Microsoft. On the same day Nokia's American CEO was fired and was replaced by another former Microsoft employee who worked for them for 15 years...

Yeah I think so or they knew the new Persona's coming with GPS so they targeted my car. My phone and wallet were already in the glove-box when I left my house so doubt they saw me when I put it in.
