Need some advice here.

I have been playing around a lot with flashing ROMs, Themes, Kernels etc but have no experience in setting up email account.
1) If I want to enable my Gmail to push in emails to my SGS, how do I do that? Need to install any extra apps?

2) In order for it to work, must my 3G data be always on? That means if I use APN On/Off to switch off data, then the email will not be pushed in?

Gmail should be available in your app drawer. No need to install extra apps. All u need is the gmail acc, of which u would have already key in when you 1st boot ur phone after flashing a new ROM.

You gotta need the data service to be switched on in order to receive push mail.

Hi guys... i just flash to Darky Rom 9.2 yesterday nite... Why there is alot of foreign language apps and i cannot uninstall it. Is it normal?? is my first time using custom rom....

    I am on Froyo 2.2 now and still feel the SGS laggy here and there. Is there any alternative solution to overcome this problem without flashing to 3rd party ROM? Thanks

no idea, but i have voodoo control app installed but i never used it. i'm not aware of this bug.. is it a known thing? link please
as above about the bug..
voodoo volume manager is NOT enabled.. headset volume is set to a minimum..

dude.. give us a quick and dirty review of the ultra slider with pixx! the bulk 1st batch arriving next week earliest.. cross fingers.
oh yeah.. they only give ultra crystal SP with cases..no oleophobic.

That is weird. I don't have such problem with my Darky 9.2.

Maybe you can give a bit more details:

Did you flash via CWM or Odin?

Give example of the foreign language apps you are refering to?

I flash via Odin and selected third party apps from Darky Configurator. Apps like Telegraaf and digilezen cannot uninstall.... Is it normal??

Yes, darkky install it as "system" apps, so uninstall it using titanium backup or SGS tools

i'm trying not to be panic here but my phone stuck at boot animation..do i have to re flash back?
