Hello all, i'm new comer for the inspira
After hearing all good things for the inspira, i finally made my mind and bought the 1.8 CVT white, and get the delivery within 1 week, day before CNY. I should enjoy my ride......but just one day owning the car, the problems come..... 1. The air condition compressor on/off frequently while the car stop, it caused the air not cool at all, i shall send the car for checking....... 2. The sound of the engine actually quite rough compare the time i drove the test car.......weird 3. The "ngek" sound from front absorber can be heard, but not frequent.... 4. The fuel consumption consider very high.....is it normal for the car before run in? After all, i'm happy for the ride, it handling is good, but only the road noise let me down. I shall complete the car with sound proofing soon Thanks all. |

Mine the same if u put just a bit cool. need to use half the dial / maximum cooling. 2. The sound of the engine actually quite rough compare the time i drove the test car.......weird perhaps still not properly break-in... had the same issue before 1st service. 3. The "ngek" sound from front absorber can be heard, but not frequent.... Mostly have sound if entering road-bumper fast/roughly for mine. 4. The fuel consumption consider very high.....is it normal for the car before run in? 1.8 cvt should be the most Fuel efficient. 120 around 2-2.4k rpm only...my manual 3.1k rpm at that speed. Full tank currently around 600-700km (mix drive) After all, i'm happy for the ride, it handling is good, but only the road noise let me down. I shall complete the car with sound proofing soon Thanks all. |

Generally I find the Inspira's aircon not very cold, you have to turn it almost to the max on a hot day. After hearing all good things for the inspira, i finally made my mind and bought the 1.8 CVT white, and get the delivery within 1 week, day before CNY. I should enjoy my ride......but just one day owning the car, the problems come..... 1. I shall complete the car with sound proofing soon Thanks all. 2. Can't comment on sounds, as it's quite subjective, and I've not heard it anyway haha. 3. Absorber sound is annoying. Somone has said oiling the bushing works, but I'm still waiting to see if Proton will do anything about it. 4. Fuel consumption is higher than usual on new cars usually. But if you're doing a lot of city driving, don't expect a miracle. On highways, the mileage is very good though, at least for mine. This post has been edited by RahXeph0n: Feb 8 2011, 10:25 AM |

Turn to max may result the gas used out faster... If turn to minimum also cold enough, then the gas may not used out fast... Mine last me for 3 years and no need to top up in between... Hope Proton will change the system later... As Proton cars got nothing to be very proud off except the air cond....

aircond system is frm mitsubishi which has the heater, so thts why need to near max out to enjoy the coldness. no choice or not proton did it on purpose.
our inspira aircond is the same as the sportsback version if im not mistaken as someone did mention. the aircond gas will not deplete as its in the close loops system, only thing is fuel consumption more only |

QUOTE(RahXeph0n @ Feb 8 2011, 10:15 AM) You can pm dessimo. He's arranging a small meetup on Friday, and the rest of the guys may be meeting up in putrajaya on Saturday. I don't know about Inspira or Lancer aircond system, but my car (not Inspira or Lancer) is also like that. The setting is from 14 ~ 24. On a hot day, with outside temperature according to the car is more than 40C, I set it to 18. Of course I won't feel cold in the instant but the cabin will get cold faster than setting below 18. I don't know why but I just assumed lower setting doesn't mean the cabin will get cold faster. So most of the time I set around 18 ~ 22. 18 when I starts the car. Then after the cabin cool down, I'll increase a bit to 19 or 20. 22 is normally at night. Can feel the warm air coming thru the vents. It works for me. Perhaps you guy should try it 1. Generally I find the Inspira's aircon not very cold, you have to turn it almost to the max on a hot day. |
